The Hausa and Fulanis can raise an army of 100,000 in short notice.

The Igbos can raise an army of 100,000 in short notice.

The Ijaws can raise an army of 20,000 in short notice.

Now the big question is, can the Yorubas raise an army that would be willing to fight at short notice?

Let's go back history lane, in 1967, Awolowo stated that should Igbos leave Nigeria that Yorubas will leave too. However, when Igbos left he started giving excuses about how Fulani soldiers are all over Lagos, Ibadan and Abeokuta.

The major issue he didn't state was that there weren't Yorubas willing to fight. They rather sat on the fence to see which side would have the upper hand, and when it became obvious they joined.

Nothing much has changed between 1967 and now, if anything, things have gone further South for them. It is no longer military stationed in Lagos, Ibadan and Abeokuta they would be afraid of, but the millions of hardened islamists who are willing to fight to death should push come to shove. They're currently masquerading as okada men, Mai guards, Mai ruwa and scavengers etc. Indeed it would take a miracle for Yorubas to survive it.

They probably know this already, some of their leaders at least and that is why they get scared anytime Biafra or Igbos leaving Nigeria is mentioned. However, they should pass the memo to the Lagos godfather to quietly lick his wounds once he is served breakfast in the coming days.

Some of his media warriors have started trying to whip up sentiments but they should be called to order now before it's too late.

The war will start in your village. When everybody in your family and village are dead, the rest of Nigeria won't notice the bloodshed.

To those that lack understanding, the post is a proactive advise to those trying to whip up sentiments because someone in Lagos is about to be denied APC ticket.

It is a call for people to know their place in the grand scheme of things.

Let's be realistic here, 95% of Yoruba youths will prefer to escape into Benin republic than to fight grin grin

Even Northerners seem to know that already and that's why one man from there threatened that your leaders would be the first to escape Nigeria should things go South cry cry

This one is already crying instead of taking the lesson. Your own family will kick the bucket first because there won't be any room for escape.

The only thing making it impossible for Yorubas to raise up to 50,000 army at short notice is religion.

They have been so much divided by religion that moslems in their midst will not join forces with their Christian counterpart and vice versa.
