There was pandemonium earlier today during the annual masquerade festival known as ECHE'ANE celebrated by the people of Ebira in Okene, Kogi state. According to eye witnesses, the explosion was that of a locally made bomb and mounted in a strategic corner where people stayed to watch the masquerade display. Injured victims were rushed to nearby clinics for immediate treatment while some resulted in carrying out gruesome amputation of the victims leg. The Okene local government has immediately suspended the festival.
