What actually happened

Speaking on what transpired, Tinubu, in a statement signed by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, said he tossed the flag to Oshiomhole, who was looking for one which he would use to introduce the party's governorship candidate in Ogun state.

The APC national leader also stated that he has no plans of leaving the ruling party.

The statement reads: “If you want to fault Asiwaju for anything in this matter, your critique can only be limited to the accuracy of his toss. Any attempt to enlarge the episode beyond this is fiction and mischief writ large.
