According to gazettenews, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that he kept the president waiting before delivering his acceptance speech as the party's presidential candidate because the president has done similar things to him in the past.




In words that were not intended to be harsh, Mr. Tinubu informed President Muhammadu Buhari that it is time to exact revenge, citing that the president used  to keep him waiting at times.

The former governor also noted that the Nigerian First Lady, Aisha Bubari, is the one who always comes to calm him down whenever the president keeps him waiting for an extended period of time.

Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the nomination to run for president under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after a tense primary election held between June 6 and June 8.
