Most states don't have issues with the ASUU chapters in state-owned tertiary institutions but the ASUU chapters still went on strike claiming that the strike is in "solidarity with their counterparts at the federal level" shocked shocked. They are having strike to support federal universities even when ASUU and states have no problems with each other, but they still expect state govts to pay their salaries with state resources, is that not evil of the highest order embarassed embarassed

Edo State Government has not paid AAU Staffs Salaries for the past 6 months. The State Government has been paying their previous salaries in percentage. These are the abnormalities, that made the University lecturers embark on strike.

Obaseki is the worst Governor Edo ever had.

the AAU ASUU chapter made their situation difficult. The last strike they did wasn't because they were being owed by the govt, they said it was in "solidarity with their counterparts at the federal level". If it was because the state govt was owing them, the strike would have been justified. The interviewer even asked the ASUU chairman how many times "their counterparts at the federal level" had joined them to embark on strike when state govts don't pay, but he couldn't answer!. My sympathies go to the average Nigerian student whose academic future is being used to play ludo game by a group of stone hearted and evil individuals who simply don't care.
