Why Peter Obi May Become Nigeria's Next President by FreedomfromtheT: 1:41pm On Jun 09, 2022
Among the four major contenders for president in 2023, Peter Obi stands out:
1. He is relatively young compared to other candidates.
2. He is well educated.
3. As governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was said to have handed over a robust economy for his succesor.
4. Peter Obi is the only Christian among the major contenders meaning that most Muslims' votes will be shared while most Christians will likely vote for him.
5. He has a national appeal mostly among the youths.
6. He is seen as a humble man of integrity.
7. Most Nigerians believe that for justice' sake and to give the Igbos a sense of belonging in the project Nigeria, it is the turn of an Igbo from the Southeast to become Nigeria's president since the Southwest and Southsouth have had their own turns. So he will likely get sympathy votes from those who share this sentiment.
8. Peter Obi is a good economist reputed to be a good manager of scarce resources, who can bail the country out of its current economic woes.
May God's will be done and may Nigeria be saved from the current poverty in the midst of plenty, hardships, insecurities, disunity, corruption and other malaise troubling this great country in Jesus' name, Amen.

You can help me ask him and other candidates sir. I want to believe Peter Obi has a blueprint on that too. But I think poverty is partly responsible for insecurity in our nation. Therefore fighting poverty is a way to fight insecurity.

Simple matter..

Appoint competent and conscientious leaders of the security institutions and watch insurgency disappear.

Fire them summarily if they don't perform within 6 months.

In 1986, Lawrence Anini and his robbery gang were the law in Benin. They were killing policemen and operating with seeming invincibility.

Babangida visited the state and in a security meeting with then IG Mohammed Gambo, he looked Gambo sternly in the eyes and demanded....... " Where is Anini?!"

The IG sensing that his C-in-C was about rubbishing his career with a humiliating sack, jolted himself out of slumber...

He would draft one of the toughest cops in the police force to smoke Anini out...

In a matter of weeks, Anini lay helpless with his charms useless and his legs shattered beyond redemption.

The first is that the Labour Party has not a single governor in Nigeria meaning the role governors of a particular party play during the general election in doing their best to win their state for their party is a zero, hence the labour party need to know what it is up to.

FreedomfromtheT:
Among the four major contenders for president in 2023, Peter Obi stands out:
1. He is relatively young compared to other candidates.

Age has nothing to do with it.

GEJ and his former boss, Yar'Adua, were younger than 60 years, but they didn't perform any extraordinary feats.

2. He is well educated.

And so are many others, including Tinubu and Atiku.

3. As governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was said to have handed over a robust economy for his succesor.

This has been debunked. He handed over a 102 billion naira debt to Obaino, and many of his projects were barely 40% completed.

4. Peter Obi is the only Christian among the major contenders meaning that most Muslims' votes will be shared while most Christians will likely vote for him.

Then, you don't understand how politics work in Nigeria.

5. He has a national appeal mostly among the youths.

His popularity has been barely tested.

Do not trust social media popularity.

6. He is seen as a humble man of integrity.

Integrity? The man has secret properties stashed away in tax havens.

If humility does it, GEJ should have made a great president.

Perhaps.

8. Peter Obi is a good economist reputed to be a good manager of scarce resources, who can bail the country out of its current economic woes.

Obi is not an economist.

He read philosophy, and that is all there is to him, aside certificate courses here and there.

May God's will be done and may Nigeria be saved from the current poverty in the midst of plenty, hardships, insecurities, disunity, corruption and other malaise troubling this great country in Jesus' name, Amen.

Amen!!!
