About OU Mackson: Piloting OU Entertainments To Greater Heights by ouentertainment: 3:18pm On Jun 12, 2022
Multi-talented journalist and filmmaker, Ozuruonye Mackson Uchenwa, popularly known as OU Mackson, has attributed the founding of OU Entertainments, a talent promotion company, to his burning desire to support the creative industry.

According to Uchenwa, a sought-after talent manager: “We offer profile support and content creation service for evaluation and promotion of artistes. Our service is focused on making entertainers known on the website by publishing promotional content such as biography, new projects, events, interviews and social activities.”

Uchenwa, also the CEO of OU Mackson.com, a media and sales site, further avowed: “There are so many entertainment websites and blogs but OU Entertainments is the only website that is centred on visibility and projection of articles. OU Entertainments creates content for promotional purposes, sells content and publishes artistes’ activities for artistes’ visibility and promotion.

Elaborating on the inspiration for the founding of OU Entertainments―first developed in 2015 and rehosted in 2022―he said: “OU Entertainments is inspired by the abundance of talents in the music industry. We have a lot of untapped talents, especially up-and-coming artistes, and part of the challenges they face has always been a dearth of platforms to register and project their biography and crafts to the online audience and fans. This is the void that OU Entertainments seeks to fill, helping promising artistes get online recognition and assisting star artistes maintain their popularity.”

OU Entertainments, Uchenwa further clarified, “is more of an entertainment journalism website that publishes facts from sources and expert opinions.

Said he: “OU entertainments is a linking bridge between artistes and their fans. Aside from building profiles to create visibility for artistes, the web service also connects fans to their favourite artists by sharing tidbits about them such as fashion sense, lifestyle, routine activities, hangout spots and other updates.”

The 28-year-old, a native of Eziama Uturu in Abia State, the 12th child of a polygamous family of 16 children, grew up in various parts of Nigeria including Adamawa State where he had his basic education, Abia State, where he had his secondary education at Assumption Model Technical School, Uturu and Osusu Secondary High School, Aba, and Ogun State where he obtained his National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro in 2012.
The pursuit of further studies, he asserted, motivated him to enroll in the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, USA, in 2013, where he emerged three years later as one of the best graduating students with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature/Letters.

“I always loved journalism, so that was my motivation to enroll for a postgraduate diploma (PGD) in Print Journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) which I completed in 2019. I also obtained other certifications, in scriptwriting and other areas of interest,” he explained.

His capability, he further averred, has been enriched with work experience at NTA 10, NTA 2 and Betex Communication Limited where he worked variously as Program Canvasser, field journalist and producer-cum-director.

The CEO of O U Entertainments https://ouentertainments.com/ is also the author of three books, Hustle and Bustle of Poverty, Too late for Grace and Ntorika Woman Wrapper, was honoured as the Best Prose Writer of 2010 by the Ondo State Chapter of the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA), with the award presented to him by the then governor of the State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.

Despite having his hands in other pies, Uchenwa insisted that OU Entertainments remains his top priority. “This area of entertainment, helping talented people grow, has always been my dream; moreover, OU Entertainments has a dedicated team of digitally sound professionals who work tirelessly to keep our services top-notch and easy for me,” he assured.
