The World Bank has said ,more Nigerians and its neighbors will fall into extreme poverty,according to ‘Global Economic Prospects’ the Russian-Ukraine war has shoot up commodity,inflation and financial condition have intensified the showdown in economic growth.

World Bank president ,David Malpass as saying that the world was facing the deepest global recession since world war ii,the world is facing high inflation and slow growth at the same time .this global inflation and economic growth may persist for a very long time.

The World bank report also quoted the president saying,that the growth in Sub-Sahara Africa is projected to slow to 3.7 per cent this year reflecting forecast downgrades of over 60 per cent of regional economies.
