The former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, on Monday blasted Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to him, the APC standard-bearer is no match for the People’s Democratic Party flag-bearer, Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election.

Melaye, who featured in a Channels Television programme, Politics Today, said the PDP celebrated the victory of Tinubu in the just-concluded APC presidential primary adding that Atiku will beat the APC candidate hands down in 2023.

When asked if PDP and Atiku are afraid of Bola Tinubu, the former federal lawmaker burst into laughter and said; “That is ridiculous. For us in the PDP, we have advised Atiku to please put together his acceptance speech because if the next president of Nigeria.

“Bola Tinubu with his inordinate ambition is no match in any way to Atiku. He (Bola Tinubu) is a baby-weight compared to an Atiku Abubakar.”

On his reason for making the assertion, the embattled Kogi-born politician said Atiku has more experience than the APC standard-bearer while backing his point with vivid examples of how the PDP candidate ran 5 times for president “compared to Tinubu who is just running for the office for the first time,” he added.

Dino Melaye also decried the worsening insecurity, poverty, and humongous corruption in the country under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch.

Atiku has lost every election that involved him directly in the past while Tinubu has won every election that directly involved him. A case of serial loser versus serial winner. Atiku has moved from part to party looking for easy way out in politics while Tinubu has maintained one party passing through easy and uneasy road of politics. So, is that a toddler in politics? Melaye should keep wasting his time playing mind game
