KdB is just ridiculous.

"Meister Unterscheid“ as the Deutsch commentator called him. He made all the difference.

The same thing he did in the UCL. Imagine, with all the superstars on the bench and needing a win, Apari introduced an academy player who comes in to get the W.

If you don’t play them, how the hell do you know what you have?

Man is entering his 5th year, I mean, at some point he should have some shame. Klopp did the same thing against him.

Now we don’t even know how good or terrible any of the youngsters are cos he just wouldn’t have the balls to play them. I guess the boys will be setting their sights on a career away from Arsenal if Arteta still remains the coach . That’s what I would do too if I was in their shoes

Remember when Klopp said something about the rest of the league shaking at the news of Kdb's return? That's it right there. Best player in the league for a reason. I'm still getting used to his new hairdo sha. The whole thing looks somehow.

Nwaneri is suddenly looking stupid for taking that contract.

Apari must have encountered academy players that failed but that has not stopped him from making decision like we saw today.

For all we know, Bobb may not become a star but God, the confidence he would gain from scoring in the EPL!

I mean look at Palmer, he had his time with Apari who helped him develop, now he is leading the lines for Chelsea. It doesn’t mean Palmer is the 2nd coming of D. Suker but he came through the ranks, took his chance and now starts.

Our own would rather run the ones others developed for him to the ground. In nearly 5 years who can we confidently point to and say our scam has developed? You think this young players in the entire academy don’t talk?

That goal pain me sha. Trippier is a foolish player. If he stayed on his feet, maybe he doesn't get to the ball first but he stands a chance of making it less comfortable for Bobb.

Apari must not be allowed to win this league again.

De Bruyne picked the boy out and the boy made good use of the ball. Once those kind pass dey ahead of u as a defender there’s nothing u can do except u hope the receiver of the pass fumble .

Bobb is a top player, and not quite academy. Many clubs have been hunting him from 12 years old. City signed him at 17 from Norway as well as a whole host of top youngsters over the last 3 to 5 years along with the likes of Lavia, Pedro Porro and many others

If your club was not offering competitive packages and spending on the best youngsters at that time, don't expect Arteta to magic up talent from nowhere. City Football group own 12 football clubs and various soccer centers so young players know they will get ample games in at least one of those clubs for their development, and they get lucrative offers for their age, world class training facilities and even a very good stadium for their youth team. City can also filter 1,000 youngsters through their various clubs and academies and present a ready made diamond to Pep that's been tested and proven. Most times they sell such quality youngsters to balance their books as a business strategy before even giving them a chance, that anyone they decide to keep, just know he is the business. It's Arteta vs a whole structure.

City have long flogged Manure hands down for talent in Manchester and NorthWest England because of this structure. Go and check out James McAtee at Sheffield Utd and Tommy Doyle at Wolves, these are City youngsters on loan there that can play for top 6 sides, and they are way down the pecking order to Oscar Bobb. City is low-key the Brighton of the big clubs, except they sell their academy talent at £10m-£20m just to tidy their books rather than give them chance like Brighton and run up their value to £50m+. See stadium their youth team play in, with a walkway to the main stadium, while Arsenal are still borrowing a decrepit Borehamwood, home stadium of a non league club as home ground for their youth and women. Arteta is just one man. The Saka and Martinelli we are seeing, na him give them chance, just like Nketiah, Smith-Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and even Odegaard to a lesser extent. He can't do pass his strength and support structure.

You have ended up praising City’s superior system in comparison to the other teams. However that doesn’t explain why Arsenal under Arteta in nearly 5 years can not account for a single academy player that has been developed and integrated by him into the first team. Arteta isn’t the only coach battling with a competitive City.

Saka/ Nelson/ Odegaard/ ESR/ Willock/ Martinelli are not his products, they were already playing first team football before Arteta arrived. Nelson already had loan stints, Saka was already playing European football, Odegaard wasn’t his product, ESR was already featuring in Europe, Willock was getting good minutes.. the list is endless.

Chelsea, United, Liverpool, Spuds have gone through coaching changes yet when I look at their current roster there is an intentional effort to transition products from their academy into the first team, same can not be said of Arteta. There is nothing since Arteta’s arrival that suggests he is interested in developing and integrating our academy products.

Apart from Saka, none of these niggas were getting good minutes prior to Arteta, and Arteta took him further. Saka was playing left back under Good Ebening at some point, while no big club was ready to take chance on Odegaard.

Blending youngsters is a process, one coach may start, and another may finish. Arteta perfected work on Martinelli who was an also ran, finished off Saka and ESR (pre injury) while Willock never played more than 2 games a season before Arteta. Arteta gave him 29 games, polished him off and raised a tidy sum from Newcastle.

Chelsea was notorious for paying for many of the best youth players under Abramovic and had major structure at youth level as well as a pipeline via Vitesse. Those Gallagher, James, Mount, Colwill, Mastsen, Gilmour are a product of that

On a serious note though, why did Dangote invite Buhari to commission a Refinery that was not completed?

Commissioning ceremonies often come with peculiar optics / politics, especially projects that may never be 100% completed.

It is why we have terms like practical completion, first phase etc

As an example in 2002/3 adenuga wanted his building on adeola odeku commissioned on October 1 or Glo anniversary. I forget which. The building was not ready. But everyone ran around and ensured parts of the building were presentable for the ceremony. Sha don't look behind the curtain please. As people exit, workers moved back in.

Because the refinery is a multi product refinery, it may be another 6 months before it is producing petrol and another 6 months again before it is producing the other products. What is the hold point for commissioning?

Started operations? 100% operational?

On top of this dangote must have been under immense pressure from his creditors to start operations so the billion dollar debts can be serviced. Everyone was invested in the refinerys success or failure one way or another.

Kyle Walker is a funny dude

His wife is expecting her 4th child from him while his a sidechick is expecting her 2nd child from him

He's not even with the sidechick, nigga just scoring goals on a cheap fück on a girl he don't even like. Now he had to buy his sidechick a £2m house. His now wife meanwhile used the news of his first child with his sidechick to force him into marriage two years ago, and now she has perfect grounds for divorce and half his mullah. She has already hired top lawyers.

The two chicks dragging him sef are fugly. Same Kyle Walker arrested for exposing himself in a bar to some chicks and arrested for having an orgy with two hookers during COVID. Its obvious this nigga brain goes on hiatus when blood flows to his John Thomas.

With 6 kids already from 2 different women, man should just go for vasectomy and shag to his hearts content without worrying about another claim on his pocket. The way I'm seeing it, man's pocket will be divided in 4 - half to his wife, and then he has to share whatever's left with his baby mother. Like they say, women are a sure way to go broke and Kyle looks like someone ready to go broke on top his sexual urges.

Naaaa.. Developing already transitioned youngsters is different from developing and integrating from the academy.

Developing already transitioned youngsters is the job of every first team coach, irrespective who brought them to the first team.

What we are saying here is that in 5 years, Arteta hasn’t done any of the work his predecessor did in even developing and integrating prospects from Hale.

The biggest influence you can ascribe to Arteta in regards to Martinelli would be switching his development from a CF to a winger.

Let me also correct you, Willock had played 18 games with 10 starts, this excludes Europa starts in the 2019/2020 season under Emery before Arteta took over in December 2019, those are not kids number. He was a starter for Emery in 2019 under Emery.

If he played 29 games in 2019/ 2020 season and Emery gave him 18 games with 10 starts, that means Arteta gave him only 11 (mostly bench appearances ) games after he took over in a season that has 38 games. The rest were bench or not in the squad. That buttresses my point even further.

Odegaard already had loan stints, so did Nelson and ESR was already ahead of the curve until injury.

If Arteta leaves tomorrow, who can we as Arsenal fans point to as his own project? A player he developed from the academy and integrated into the first team for the next manager to even continue with?

I don’t know where Ibime got his info that Arteta developed Willock and made him sellable . Willock was starting under Ebening cos I remember how some of us were complaining about his game.

If he wants to excuse Arteta and make a case for him that the city comparison is unfair to him considering the structure city has in place , what about Loserpool ? Is Klopp also enjoying the city structure in Loserpool ? At least we’ve seen Klopp also integrate youngsters that have gone on to impress .

It’s just shameful that Arteta cannot even try out any of the youngsters even in Carabao cup.

The guy will most likely go broke when the women in his life are ready to deal with him. He’s living the life of a traditional African man in a country like UK.

Let’s hope he can analyze football so when he’s retired and the women make a kill from his fortune , he can always fall back to punditry

All u have explained is : BUHARI COMPLETED AN UNCOMPLETED DANGOTE REFINERY !

The reason is just political optics and nothing more . Ambode did it with some of his projects in Lagos

The truth is Dangote group has been very dishonest with the information they kept churning out concerning the start date of the refinery . Nobody forced them to keep giving unrealistic dates as start date for the refinery (Maybe the APC led FG under Buhari did force them, I don’t know but I certainly know none of the public members did ).

If people had doubts about the refinery producing this year, know that it was Dangote group that caused the doubt in their minds .

Attached is a naira metrics article showing that the Dangote group promised July 2023 as the date the first fuel from the refinery would hit the market . Here we are 8 months after expecting the first fuel to hit the market soon.
