A simple sourdough bread recipe for starting off as a sourdough baker. It calls for a very simple whole-meal starter with just flour, water and yeast and the whole thing can be made in about a day. This recipe was tested for over 1,000 people, and has been used for thousands more. The original recipe calls for a 50/50 ratio of wholemeal flour and white flour, but I found that I can get away with using a lesser amount of white flour to achieve a lighter, more sour taste
