check dis out.I wz at d barbershop today 2 trim my afro when a guy walked up 2 me and warned me 2 cut it all off or face being arrested by d police.I was so pissed,i felt like smackin 'em and all other ignoramuses in lagos who allow d cops intimidate dem and rob dem of their fundamental rights.
I wz so disgusted i felt like spittin on his timid face. For God's sake, when did it become criminal 2 keep an afro or even dreadz 4 dat matter.
Just in case any member of d naija police force is reading this,i cant wait 4 u guyz 2 arrest me so i can sue ur pants off!
Im a well-informed citizen of naija,i know d law and iam yet 2 find any statute which states dat keepin an afro or dressing in a particular way is a crime!
Let dem just try arresting me.I'll sue d cop,his superior officer, the D.P.O all d way 2 d commissioner of police!
Im not ur average, scared, sissy who 2nt defend his rights.
D guy in d barbershop added that those caught would be made 2 pay twenty grand b4 they are released.Just try me! I'll make sure ur broke 4 d rest of ur life by d time d court awards damages against u thieving rascalz! Just try me!!

After my encounter at d barbershop,i took a good look around and 2 my shock discovered dat all d so-called hiphop headz and artistes around my neighbourhood were no longer sporting their afroz and dreadz. Well!, Nw is when we separate d real frm d fake,d wheat frm d chaff,d boyz frm d men,d fanz frm d fanatikz,d fashion-follower frm d diehard hiphop practitioner.
Dis is history in d making and am so proud 2 be part of it.Nw,we'll know those who just identify wt hiphop as a fashion trend frm those who are part of d movement!
Dis is history repeating itself! Krs 1 and d pioneers of dis culture faced d same thing back in d '70s.Nw its our turn.Lets see d real souljaz represent!
"if hiphop shud die/we die 2gether/close d coffin/both buried alive in cheddar!"
