You lack comprehension understanding.

Reread what you wrote again and correct yourself.

Igbos never liked Zik, do you even have sense to read and comprehend? All Zik's nationalist moves and alignment with the North was solely on his own volition, Igbos never liked nor approved of it. How many times will we tell you hateful souls don't Igbos never liked Zik and reason no Igbo praises or celebrate Zik till date.

Awolowo betrayed Igbos via his major roles during the civil war, he was the Finance Minister. He also handled the sale of Ikeja Obakran industrial complex, and he was in charge when Igbos were handed just 10 pounds no matter how many millions they had in Nigerian banks before the war. He rolled out all those policies. Try and read history don't rely on concocted lies told to you by people who only heard from others that heard.

Yes Zik messed up and reason Igbos don't celebrate him despite his great position and historic image in the formation of Nigeria.

Igbos don't support rubbish. We never liked nor supported the actions of Zik and Ironsi but as a hatefilled afonja you are, no matter how many times we say it you won't accept but I have never heard or seen any Yoruba man or woman come out to condemn or denounce the actions of your corrupt and bad political leaders cos to you all, Yorubas are always upright just as Tinubu is a god to you all now despite his dirty past and present known to all
What millions did the Igbos had in the bank account? First, how many banks were in Nigeria as at 1966 that millions of Igbos had account in?
Most of the Igbos that had money in the few banks then withdrew all their money and converted it to Biafra's currency. So most of them didn't have any money in their account anymore.
Also many banks was looted by the Igbos when they were fleeing. In fact the looted a central bank then and carted away millions. The was why Awolowo had the change the Nigeria notes so that the stolen monies will become useless to them and they won't be able to buy weapons.

You talk of Awolowo betraying the Igbos. Was it not the same Awolowo that kept the allocation meant for the East for the whole three years during the war and
gave everyone dime to them after the war? Awolowo kept all the jobs held by the Igbos before the war and they went back to their former position. Is that who you call a betrayer?
Even houses owned by the Igbos in the West were given to them given back to them when they returned back with some given the entire 3 years rent.. That was something the Niger Deltan Igbos didn't even do. They killed the Igbo owners when they returned back and claimed their houses.

As for the blockade, Awolowo talked about the blockade and I suggest you read about it

What really caused the pogrom was when the Igbos started making pictures of Nzeogwu standing on Tafewa Balewa the same way Arch Angel Michael was standing on the devil.. Even bread logos had those pictures.. The most of the Igbo civilians supported the coup and were mocking the Northerners. That was what caused the Northerners to go psycho..
Even top Igbo politicians like Zik supported and justified the coup and even outrightly denied it was a coup. He said what happened wasn't a coup but a military takeover.

Ironsi didn't prosecute the coup plotters for the simple reason that he approved and supported it. If not he would have at least even pretend to jail them or even give them a house arrest. Another reason why I think Ironsi knew about the coup was the ease at which he was able to stop it. It was a planned Igbo coup all along.

And also, Awolowo never gave the order to blockade the East. He didn't have any power to do that. He was simply a finance minister.

Zik supported which coup? Where do u get your history from Abeg? Lol

Ironsi detained the coupists, but Northerners expected them executed by firing squad which Ironsi could not do citing that he wanted to reconcile the nation and not shed more bloods, which prompted his nationwide reconcilliatory tour in which he got killed at Ibadan. No matter what, Igbos will never forget some historic acts of some honorable Yoruba men during the 1960 political turmoil and whenever Biafra comes they will be celebrated and idolized too.

Col. Fajuyi and one other Yoruba soldier that got executed during the war, Igbos will never forget them.

As for Awolowo and the Biafran starvation policy, I can't vouch for what I am not sure of but Awolowo took the credit and even Yorubas celebrate it and use it as a bragging right of how their son dealt with Igbos intelligently, so i don't know which to believe

Gave Igbos every dime ke? Igbos only got 10 pounds no matter how many millions they had in Nigerian banks before the war.

Yes some Yorubas in Lagos returned Igbo people's properties in Lagos back to them after the war. This is worthy of note and its highly commendable and will never be forgotten

Soo much dishonesty and insincerity.

Let me clarify and debunk a few ;

*Buhari wasn't always picking an Igbo VP. He picked Tunde Bakare once too and he was voted against by Yoruba people in favour of Jonathan in 2011 Presidential elections. So what's exactly your point? Igbos voted against Buhari those years because they already banked on a PDP winning ticket and cannot gamble on Buhari who has a slim chance of winning. When Buhari's path of winning became clearer, He already aligned with SW so it was quite unreasonable to go with him.

*Stop the Lies. Ike Ekweremadu was never hated in Igbo land, if he was hated truly, he won't be winning his re-election since 2003. Just stop it. He didn't win his senate seat through court ruling. Liar.

*Igbos are tribalistic in their voting like every other ethnicity in Nigeria. You are dishonest liar if you disagree. Since 1999 when SE has always voted PDP into Government, you did because you were always a beneficiary. Senate Presidency, SSG, control of strategic ministries and agencies. You overwhelmingly voted against Buhari because you were benefitting immensely from GEJ's Government which you will not get in Buhari's Government.

You can keep deceiving yourself anyway.

By the way ;; Vote TINUBU 2023. Vote APC.

Having known Tinubus health condition which includes stuttering, shaking hands and falling down unexpectedly, on which basis are you voting him if not for national embarrassment?

Zik denied that it was a coup that happened and even justified whatever he called it.

You skip to 1:20 and watch Zik shamelessly denying that what happened was a coup.

If you listened to that interview critically you will realize that Zik didn't want to admit to a global audience that his government has been removed or overthrown, he was playing smart by not admitting that a coup has taken place but stressing that his Government representatives sat and unanimously agreed to transmit power temporarily to the military to help them maintain law and order and relinquish the power back to them.

He was still clutching on straws hoping to come back to power and continue as President after order is restored in Nigeria then. He was intentionally playing ignorant, watch the whole interview closely

You're just the typical average Igbo. Even with video evidence you still want to deny it. Not so different from Zik.

You forgot to mention Ebitu ukiwe from Abia state.

The first in the history of Nigeria to resign honourably as vp. Because he wouldn't agree to turn Nigeria into an Islamic state..

And even after Igbos have come out severally to condemn Zik and his leadership style and even show this by not celebrating or praising or associating with him, the hatefilled Yorubas refuses to believe or accept.

But never will you hear Yorubas condemn or criticize their political leaders like Igbos do, does it mean all Yoruba politicians are saints without errors? The answer is Yorubas are too tribalistic and love hero-worship so much plus their natural cowardice makes them to always queue behind one political figure whether the figure is corrupt or not.

Or tell me why Yorubas will leave a sound leader like Osinbajo to be worshipping a known corrupt, rotten man like Tinubu ?
Also add to the role aguiyi ironsi played after the coup. You could see why igbos are seen as totalitarians and domineering. Yorubas have there short comings and can be very tribalistic. The owner of this forum is a very good example(hope he is not consumed by the hatred, he has for the igbos). Did you not read the comment of tunde bakare, concerning the Igbo presidency ? Have you not noticed that adeboye and oyedepo has not publicly declared there support for the anointed man MR PETER OBI ? It all boils down to ethnic sentiments and long held hate, which transcends generations. An igbo man played a key role in the present day nigeria we have today. An igbo man will put things in order.

Ojukwu was a coward. He's the first war leader to run and leave his people he led to an unwinnable war. What a honorable leader will do is to fight and die, he led 2m Igbo's to their death. He never led a battle rather he hid in his bunker.

He later came back to Nigeria. Denounced Biafra , apologized to Nigerians and declared for presidency , he was soundly voted against even by his people. Go to YouTube and watch his interviews, how he expressed his regrets on declaring Biafra
