There is no statute of limitation for perjury.

The judge erred because the defendant did benefit from the act of perjury as he used that lie to meet the minimum required academic qualification to seek for and occupy the Governor's office in Lagos.

That was a crooked judgement and must be revisited since those signed INEC docs still remain in the archives of a public institution .
