Why did they not write in the "first person"?
And why are they so far from the story they are telling?
Stories that touch

1. Did Pontius Pilate exist? Yes or No
2. Did he execute Jesus Christ as Tacitus mentioned in the annals? Yes or No.

I’m itching for you to claim Tacitus’ account was forged too cheesy

So far so good, the ones trying to deny the existence of Jesus Christ shows they know little of history.

How can someone commit a basic error to say Jerusalem is not in the Roman province of Judaea? Like seriously?

History lesson 101

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judaea_(Roman_province)
If you read below you will see that the followers of Chestus stayed continually at the temple in Jerusalem, praising God. But when the Romans destroyed the temple no mention of the followers of Chestus but only the mention of about 1,000 Zealots who escaped to a fort, called Masada, on a mountaintop in the desert.

The Ascension of Jesus Acts 2:41
50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.
52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Why would they waste their time disproving a negative?

The Torah already provided everything they need.

It’s not hard nau, bring evidences of Jewish scholars and historians claiming Jesus Christ never existed.

Or the one that Jewish authorities handed over to Pontius Pilate for crucifixion was denied by Jewish historians and scholars?

Emperor Nero blamed the followers of this same Chrestus for the great fire of Rome in 64 AD.., or he didn’t?

Since you’re so enlightened, kindly provide evidence(s) of Jewish historians and scholars denying the existence of Jesus Christ nau?

Is it not odd all the sources you rely on are non-Jews?

Let’s all hail Somnvayina the Nigerian man who suddenly knows the history of the Jews better than the Jews themselves. cheesy

Jesus Christ declared to us that Heis God's Truth, God's Life and God's Way(Law) - John 14 vs 6 - but Jesus Christ never said He is also God's Love, so it is wrong to assume Him that which He never claimed . undecided

God's love to mankind through Jesus Christ is conditional and dependent on man's obedience of His teachings and commandments. So in Jesus Christ, God shows His Love only to those who obey Him. undecided

So who was Tacitus referring to as the Chrestus that originated from Judaea? Hmmm?

Which Chrestus suffered the extreme penalty under Pontius Pilate in the reign of Tiberius?

Your BIGGEST followers of Chrestus JOKE in Rome Nero blamed for the great fire of Rome in 64 AD , has now fully been busted to pieces. As there were no followers of Chrestus in the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD when Rome destroyed it, only Zealots were mentioned and they fled to the mountains as said in Matthew 26:14 but no followers of your Chrestus fleeing to Rome

I’m glad you’ve entered the scriptures.

Something very basic you’ve ignored. The Jews had significant presence in the diaspora, long before 70 AD.

The message on Jesus Christ was preached to Jews who traveled for the Passover after the ascension of Christ.

That was how followers of Christus (who suffered the extreme penalty under Pontius Pilate) were present in Rome. Through evangelism and conversion. Not fleeing from war.

Acts 2 v 5-11;
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.
6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.
7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?
9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome
11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism)
; Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”

These Jews, including the ones who came over from Rome for the Passover later converted to Christianity.

Acts 2 v 41;
41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

And just to add, towards the end of his life when he was held under house arrest in Rome, Apostle Paul devoted his life entirely to preaching about Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God to Jews and Gentiles that visited him.

The details are in Acts 28 v 11-31.

In conclusion, the followers of Christus in Rome whom Nero blamed for the great fire of 64 AD, are followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Another history lesson 101. It doesn’t take much to figure this out undecided

I’m waiting for your next excuse…while I’m checking for more Jewish historians and scholars affirming THE EXISTENCE of Jesus Christ.

God designed His Law, Jesus Christ, in such a way that only those who love Him - live in continuous submission to and obedience of His teachings and commandments- will reap the Love He has to give - John 15 vs 7 - 11 - meaning those who refuse to love Jesus Christ, along with those who outright reject Him, cannot access the same Love. So what has that to do with hate? undecided

@OkCornel

But according to @MaxInDHouse: "With the above warning from the prophet they respected most, all the Christians left Jerusalem safely before the Romans attacked the city"

MaxInDHouse:
However, when you see Jerusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that the desolating of her has drawn near. Then let those in Ju·deʹa begin fleeing to the mountains, let those in the midst of her leave, and let those in the countryside not enter into her, because these are days for meting out justice in order that all the things written may be fulfilled. Woe to the pregnant women and those nursing a baby in those days! For there will be great distress on the land and wrath against this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations until the appointed times of the nations are fulfilled" Luke 21:20-24

With the above warning from the prophet they respected most, all the Christians left Jerusalem safely before the Romans attacked the city so how do you expect any of them to write what they never saw nor had the opportunity to ask those who were killed during the attack? wink
