It might help to know the name of your prospective employers, are they paying for your flight to Nigeria, what plans is there for your accomodation, are they providing transfortation and in what form. This will enable one to know if they are likely to be genuine or not.

- did you inspect the job details (location etc)
- did you check the employer's record or talk with other employees?
- why the "7days" hurry?!

Thanks friend for d response, we got d job through an agency named "vivid management services, new delhi", we spoke to the employer also, his name is dr.Jabal sadavrati, the hospital name is Gleneagles medical healthcare services ltd at 7, Oju Olobun Close, Victoria Island, Lagos, they r providing us furnished and serviced accommodation within the hospital premises, and free usage of pool vehicle, the inauguration of d hospital is on 15th of August, we hv to fly before dat!

If it is possible,try find someone in lagos to check the place and get info about the place for you so as to ascertain and alleviate any fears, good luck.

If there's such a great hurry to move, then u should insist on gettin more fact from your employment agency.

Let them know your concerns and don't be shy to ask questions.

seems to advertise the vacancies you got employed to fill but the salary sounds incredible I have to be honest.

Have you signed a contract? What are the terms? If you know any Indians in Nigeria/Lagos you should be phoning them for assistance.

If they are paying for your flight tickets then it may be worth the risk, but insist they be RETURN tickets just in case.

The only hospital i know on that street is Faith City Hospital. Gleneagles (that i know o) is an international brand. So if they are opening on that street, good for them.

it appears to be a new outfit so if they are paying for flights then no issues really but if not you might want to go first and your wife follows after. first point of call should be your embassy when you arrive or even before you go.

$3500 a month seems rather high.

ya, they r paying for d flights, opening of hospital is on 15th aug dats why in hurry!!, can any1 ask any specialist doctor over der dat dis offer is acceptable or not, we are fully trained and specialist in our respective branches.

You seem to have missed out the many bits of advise that you've been offered.

Looks like the wages are the major reason why you want to make the move, if you've been formally employed then you have, so relax a little. Although you sound like you haven't formally accepted the offer.

As per the money, you may have to find out from your first paycheck, the decision to make now is whether the risk is worth taking or not. Its not impossible, but I doubt if anyone is going to make enquiries on your behalf from a website, you've already been advised to contact your embassy in Nigeria.

But I think though that its a bit unfair on you two to be required to move in one blow, you should be negotiating for some flexibility in the name of reason, also to protect yourself from the possible risks.

Remember they need you as much as you want them, they are also running out of time.

Be ccareful. May be a scam. Too many people being burned with fictitious jobs.

But if the ticket is paid for you might want to travel alone see the people and even take the inaugural pictures to beat the deadline

then discuss conditions later, good thing is you are dealing with an Indian, so you might understand each other if something goes wrong
