US Hypersonic Missile Fails In Test Yet Again by Discombulator: 4:35pm On Jun 30, 2022 |
A flight test of a hypersonic missile system in Hawaii ended in failure due to a problem that took place after ignition, the Department of Defense said, delivering a fresh blow to a program that has suffered stumbles. It didn’t provide further details of what took place in the Wednesday test, but said in a statement sent by email “the Department remains confident that it is on track to field offensive and defensive hypersonic capabilities on target dates beginning in the early 2020s.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-30/us-hypersonic-missile-fails-in-test-in-fresh-setback-for-program?utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_content=business&utm_source=twitter&cmpid=socialflow-twitter-business&utm_medium=social

MOTHER RUSSIA has already used hypersonic missiles multiple times in Ukraine and china has carried out numerous successful target strike too,so as North Korea. So why is USA failing in it'd bid to build their own 10 Likes |

Discombulator:Russian recognized distance is 1000 m As for china they don't have it |

baralatie:you are wrong with respect to the distance you quoted. The speed is measured in comparison with the speed of sound. If the speed of the hypersonic missile is equal to the speed of sound, its speed is mach1, when it is twice, it is mach2 and so on. America has been successful in some of these different sound speeds but still working on others. 1 Like |

Discombulator: Russia should have finished Ukraine by now. Why are they wasting their men and resources in Ukraine for over 4 months now? |

Discombulator: USA failing to build ke? You may want to research the SR-71 Blackbird. It was built in the 50s 60s operated over 30 years and retired in 1999. Hypersonic speed is not a technology unachievable to USA. All their space rockets reach hypersonic speeds and beyond. They may require specific functionalities that may fail under those extreme conditions and won't stop till it's right. While Russia and China were still marveling at aircraft's the SR-71 had attained and still is the fastest aircraft ever flown. |

joyandfaith: The more Russian drags this, the more it gets boring for the west, and the more the west suffers from inflation, industries shutting sow, high prices, erc. It's all to Russia advantage. Besides, Ukraine has a had the best train army in all Europe, with NATO doctrine. Russia is fighting NATO. 3 Likes |

This is a military special operation not a war. So there is no need to rush military operations. And Russia have to consider it Russia people mixed in Ukraine population it is a hard task. 1 Like |

joyandfaith: They are not waisting men. Their method has low casualty. On the other hand, the long the war drag on the better for russia due to war fatigue, inflation, distraction on EU and US. But if the war is quickly closed, Ukraine will only reinforce and fight another day. 1 Like |

klarry79:Why is it taking longer than sanctioned North Korea to achieve this though. And if we're talking about efficiency you want me to name the amount of us aircrafts that has crashed without any reason this year alone, from their booeing planes,to the f16 and osprey aircraft. Even the $2b almighty b2 spirit crashed, even the famed f35 still crashed inside China see this year sef 3 Likes |

joyandfaith: The Russians are taking their time and moving methodically with the result coming in. Lysichansk just fell thereby securing the whole of the Luhansk Oblast. 70 percent of the mission is already achieved. Next port of call is the full liberation of the Donetsk region. As for the time, the US couldn't have faired anything better. The US fought in Vietnam for 122 months and lost. They fought in Afghan for 140 months only for the same Taliban they first ousted from political power to rolled back into power while the US was busy running away from the country at the airport, sacrificing ten of their soldiers to terror attack as a send-off party gift to Biden. War is not yam and stew. 1 Like |

klarry79: All their space rocket engines reach Hypersonic speed? Heck, even all those space rockets engines were produced by the Russians without which the US can't even go to space, until Elon Musk came to their rescue in three years ago. The truth is, the US military will catch up soon in the hypersonic missile race, they have the money to do it. But right now, they have nothing compared to what the Russkies and Chingos have. |
