What I don't understand is why you compare Lagos with other states? Do you know Lagos was once the former capital of Nigeria? mineo: |

Let's run a quick statistics on how accommodating Yorubas are; ........nah!!!! They're not accommodating at all, they're only scared of what the outcome would be if they go against us. |

Is Lagos state the only state in Nig?. Can't they build seaports in states that do not have one? What's the rationale behind having sea and int'l airports in Lagos state and one or two states only? What's the federal govt's plan on taking industrialization to other states? How does the govt hope to solve the problem of migration of people from other parts of the country to Lagos? What are the plans of govt to tackle the issue of heavy traffic and overconjestion in Lagos? 1 Like |

Zeezenho: Stop exposing your ignorance. Lekki FTZ, Lekki Port, Lekki Airport,Eko Antlantic. They were all Lagos government initiatives and yes executed by private business. We were all here when they were looking for partners to kick off the projects. Which is why I love Lagos and her governors. Most of their projects are tied around PPP, that's why they are sustainable and not because APC has always been in Lagos. LCC (that endsars wants to end), LSSTF even LAGBUS and Laghoms have significant PPP built around them. 2 Likes |

I believed you decided not to give honour to who deserves it. Lekki Deep seaport is not owned by Federal government. It is owned by a Singaporean company in partnership with Lagos state. The Lekki you see today was created in 2006 by Lagos state when Obasanjo couldn't allow creation of ordinary local government and the free trade zone was purposely for investments like this. No state governor in Nigeria has such foresight like Tinubu and some that tried to have it, changes in government affected it just how Wike stopped all ongoing Amaechi projects including the overhead light rail. Dangote Group wanted to build his refinery in Ore, then Ogun but Lagos offered them what the two States cannot offer. If you become a billionaire today, you will consider Lagos before any other state for your company and you will surely have a house in Lagos even if your company is not there. Even Obi have a house in Ikoyi. It is not easy to build a state to attract both local and foreign investments. Twakor: 3 Likes |
