Maybe a Trojan horse.

I don't trust Chinese benevolence to Africa.
It's a money fr hand back for ground situation.

How china looked at all of Zimbabwe and felt the most important thing to gift it is a parliament building.... a railroad or an airport, a seaport or even mass housing could have been better. Scholarships or even training.. $160m worth of knowledge transfer could have gone a longer way.
A typical dumb Nigerian mentality. Always empty headed.

After gifting a gift to someone, now a stupidddd dumb Nigerian with akamu in his small head, somehow thinks other sort of gift ought to have been considered

You obviously lack sense.. I think its quite obvious.. a better income generating gift would have been best preferable. Of what use is a very poor country with almost zero currency doing with a $160m house of parliament?..

Little wonder why we are where we are..

China has completed the construction of Zimbabwe's new $160 million Parliament building as a gift to them.

China fully paid for the construction. It includes six floors and will house both the lower and upper houses of Parliament.

Chinese flags and Zimbabwean flags are on it.

We should wait until China demonstrate that it had any ulterior motive for the gift. Otherwise whatever claim we make as reason or motive behind the gift is nothing but baseless conjecture, and this is likely to betray africans as ungrateful lots

What else does china offer besides some loans/contracts/business expansion? I love their model actually, if african leaders had the population at heart we might get to their level some day.

China understands that you can't be a super power today without having good economic and political relationship with multiple countries outside your shores. This is why China is the single biggest threat to the US super power claim/hold in the world today.
Also, China understands the tremendous importance of consolidating it's trading relations with outside countries. Any country that is able to have this advantage become immune to US sanctions or it's suppressive efforts. This is the very reason the Russian economy is still able to breathe while successfully evading US and western sanctions.

You have to key in population size and self-sustainability as a major factor. All the shithheads in govt are after building phantom projects as conduit pipes for amassing wealth for their generations unborn insteading of improving on the hdi. We should copy China and make corruption punishable by death perhaps.

Well, you are correct in many ways, many many ways, however I don't support the death penalty for corruption. That is kinda too hash. Have you considered the possibility of some people being victims of frame up? There is no society that is completely devoid of corrupt officials. US is one of the most corrupt countries you can ever find. I know you will find it difficult to believe this, but it is.
