Please, for historical perspective before 1999, northern Muslims had been in power for over 2 decades ( Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and Abubakar). Obasanjo and Falae were allowed by northern politicians to form the then next government after Abiola's ordeal in the hands of northern Muslim soldiers. It was the best and only option the north had then, otherwise Nigeria would have headed for disintegration.

One section of Nigeria's 2 big religions can not hijack power for decades and take the other as the big fool. If this country must harness its potentials for the benefit of all, there must be political and social justice.
