Nyesom Wike's supporters in Rivers State have outlined requirements for resolving the dispute inside the People's Democratic Party. Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, could still reconsider Dr. Ifeanyi Okonwa, the governor of Delta State, according to the governor's supporters. He chose Okonwa as his running mate last month. As the controversy surrounding Atiku's running mate grew worse, Senator Walid Jibrin, the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, declared that the party had formed a nine-member committee to implore Wike.
