This is nothing new. The threat of war has always existed in Nigeria. Especially when elections come around. I'm not saying that makes it any less serious. But it's nothing new

I'm not trying to downplay the severity of the situation. It is a very terrible thing to happen. But this whole "keep praying so innocent people will not be killed" ideology is pretty useless thing. If there's anything we've seen over the years, it's that prayers simply do not work.
