Why is house rent calculated 11 calendar month instead of 12 calendar month?
I stay in an apartment the caretaker of the house gave me receipt and wrote 11 July 2022 to 11june 2023. Please can someone please explain, help me understand why?.

It’s like you’re trying to say January to January is 1 year.

July to July is 13 months.

E. g. January to December is 12mnts but January to January is a fuckkkin 13 month

The caretaker was right.

But it's supposed to start from August not July

Don't allow them cheat you. Your rent is from 11 July 2022 to 10 July 2023.

If he disagrees then contact a lawyer. They have this saying that rent expires on eve of anniversary. So your anniversary should be 11 July and the eve 10 July.

January to December is 12 months. If you make your payment January it ends December,not January

You rent should expire on July 10, 2023. Assuming you paid rent in January 1st, it should expire December 31st.
In the same way, July 11th to August 10th makes 1 month and so on till you count 1 year which is 12 months. That brings it to July 10th 2023.
Assuming your rent started on 1st July 2022, then it would expire on June 30th 2023 as your landlord says.

In real estate, there's no agreed rule as to how many days make a month.
If the month has 31 days, that would be cheating the tenants. If it has 28/29 days, that would be cheating the landlord.

Except if there's a rule that 30 days make a month, a month remains a month.

That is, if you moved in say March 10th, the month ends March 31st and not April 10th.

That's my take.
