Is Right To Adopt A Religious Law As A State Law? by fitzmayowa: 4:08am On Jul 28, 2011
With the advocacy of strict sharia law in the northern states of Nigeria by the Boko Haram sect as a pre-condition for going 2 d negotiation table with d government, according to reports credited to the sect.
One can not help but wonder what would be the faith of those who do not share the religious believes as that of the proposed strict sharia law.
Is adhering to religious laws not suppose to be a personal thing or practice?
Is adopting a religious law as a state law not infringing on fundamental human rights of those who do not share the same believes with d said religious law?
Is adopting a religious law as a state law not contradicting to the kind of secular law we practice been a secular country?
What hapens to those who r origin of these states who are non muslims considering the fact we av reasonable percentage of them residing there?

I don't think so, I think religion and politics should remain separate for the most part.
