She’s A 10 But She Has These 5 Unpopular 2022 Nigerian Songs by LetDemKnow(m): 8:42pm On Jul 13, 2022

These 5 2022 Nigerian songs, for some not-so-mysterious reasons (given that we know how you, the listeners behave) have not gotten the attention we think they deserve or exploded like we thought they would or like the singers may have anticipated.

But if you’re already a 10 and manage to be one of the people that have these songs on your daily playlist or at least don’t skip them when they come on, then you’re really an 11. Check them out.

#1 Basketmouth, 2Baba, Blaqbonez — Trouble

Basketmouth began living out his childhood dreams of being a musician in 2020 when he released the heavy collaborative album ‘Yabasi.’ Two years later, he masterminded another heavy-feature project ‘Horoscopes’ and this was arguably the biggest of the album’s 9 tracks. Terrific song, but just didn’t make the waves we thought it would.

#3 Boj ft Moliy & Melliissa — In A Loop

Boj doesn’t quite make your everyday music but, In A Loop is one of his more regular ones. It’s the 7th song on his 2022 album; ‘Gbagada Express.’ Its non-stop rhythm inspired by the snare, kick, and mezzo-piano blends with Boj and his collaborators’ vocals to create a bewitching tune.

#3 Brymo — Love Na Drug

Love Na Drug is a 2022 song by indie-whiz Brymo. It’s off his 10th studio album ‘Theta.’ Listening to Brymo’s list plays have become somewhat similar to skimming the pages of your favourite folklore storybook, the difference is that music stimulates the brain more than books do.

#4 Ajebo Hustlers ft Fave — In Love

You know what’s next once you hear the intro ‘Original!’ You know it’s Ajebo Hustlers on the tune. The duo is a powerhouse when it comes to Alte music and they deliver on In Love alongside the talented Fave who lends her skills to the record.

#5 Rema — Jo

Seriously, this song just has Rema at his raving best. His debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ was filled with many established hits, but Jo is one of the refreshing songs on the 16-track album. It’s an instant call-to-dance and you’re likely to form a closer bond with its lyrics once you start listening keenly, making it a potential earworm.

How many of these songs do you know/love? Most Nigerian music buffs will know/love all of them.
