Other things the NPF needed that could have turned the battle in their favor:

1. schematics of the area
2. an idea of the escape route
3. enough policemen (to outnumber the thieves, at least, 3:1)
4. a minimum of 3 snipers in the response team
5. superior firepower
6. a negotiator (optional sha)

Without technology, , Nigeria police will always be a joke...tomorrow morning them go run go arrest innocent people coming back from work..case closed..
