A police man in uniform was arrested today by some of his colleagues for breaking okada ban law in ikeja, Iagos. He was given some serious beating until other Nigerians got angry at the brutality meted on him and intervene.

At a point the policemen turned to the nursing mother the police man carried and warned her to keep quiet and risk getting arrested

Hmm, this good and rare though.

I witnessed one incident few months ago on my way back from work.

A police escort attached to one VIP was driving recklessly from the wrong side of the road towards another police traffic officer on duty, the traffic officer became overly angry and blocked the convoy, it was a thrilling moment.

This can't be true. Op get what really happened
Re: Policemen Beat Up Their Uniform Colleague For Violating Okada Ban In Lagos by Nobody: 6:49pm On Jul 14, 2022
That looks like a civil defence vest, not a police uniform. It's possible he was unable to identify himself and just using the vest illegally, hence the maltreatment.

Mr Man, I know more than you! That vest is not for MOPOL, it's for NSCDC!

The one for MOPOL doesn't have a white stripe on the shoulder like the one in the video. Go and confirm and stop arguing!

Police men always try to bully those guys just to make them feel inferior.

On another note, the guy might be impersonating. I believe if he was truly an NSCDC officer, they would still be lenient with him based on "esprit de corps".

The person recording the video already concluded from his little knowledge that policemen are harassing another policeman. False stroyline!

Stop saying what you don't know. I made the video myself. I was standing up there, the lady carrying a baby stopped the guy, he stopped and was about giving her a ride, the blue bus cornered him and the police man jumped down and started with a slap, that was what prompted me to bring out my phone to record.

He didn't resist arrest, the police man had given him several slaps before I even started, he was only pleaded and that was what got passerbys angry and they gathered the the policemen.

There is even another part of the video I didn't upload. A guy riding a scooter who also confronted the policeman was arrested and his scooter they wanted to seize until everyone gathered and started dragging with the policemen and they left in shame when people started shouting Oleeeeee.

They left and came back to arrest one of the men that confronted them still people resisted.

This is an eyewitness report not hearsay

You recorded it, fine. But can you bet your entire property that the said man is actually a policeman? I put it to you that's an NSCDC vest, not even a uniform like you claimed.

You're the one who needs to stop talking ignorantly... In fact, you can even claim you were there when he left his house and wore his "uniform".

You don't even know the difference between vest and uniform! Is that a uniform? Abeg rest!

You don't have sense. Whether nscdc or police it's none of my business. I told you an event I witnessed myself and you are there doubting.

I can see how knowledgeable you are. Na your type dey doubt till you find yourself in lions den.

I leave you to continue to postulate theories you don't know or didn't witness

Can you see how stupid you are?

You're calling him a policeman but now you claim you don't care if he was a policeman or civil defence officer! So you just opened your mouth waaa, and started interpreting a scenario you had little knowledge about.

Ignoramus of the highest order.

He challenged them, and they had to force him to comply, police are law enforcers, even in America, police force people for not following their orders, sometimes it ends up in shooting the person(not saying it's right). Comply with police when you break law, they are law enforcement, they won't let you go when you break the law. The law of the state is bigger than us all.
