Temporary Work Visa

The temporary work visa in England (Tier 5) is intended for foreigners who intend to work for a specific period in the country. Most visas in this category authorize the stay in the country for about one year, a period that can be extended by another two years.

The authorization is intended for foreigners who wish to perform activities such as:

Charity Worker: Unpaid volunteer work for a charity for up to 12 months;
Creative Worker: work in England as an athlete or creative professional for a maximum of 12 months;
Government Authorized Exchange: participation in training, home country government language program, research or scholarship for a period of 12 to 24 months;
International Agreement: performing work covered by international law or treaties in England, as an employee in a diplomatic house or providing services for the foreign government for up to 24 months;
Religious Worker: doing religious work, such as working at a religious institution for 24 months;
Seasonal Worker: perform agricultural work such as picking fruits, vegetables or flowers for up to six months;
Youth Mobility Scheme: for foreigners aged between 18 and 30 who wish to live and work in England for up to two years.
In addition to allowing the foreigner to work legally in the country for a specific period, this visa for England also allows the worker to study and take family members.


Long-term work visa:

Unlike the previous modality, the long-term work visa, Tier 2, allows the foreigner to stay in the country for a period of three to nine years, with the possibility of being renewed. Check out which jobs this authorization allows you to exercise:

Skilled Worker: [/b]allows the foreign professional to remain in England to perform qualified work for the employer;

Intra-company: authorizes the professional to work in the branch of a foreign company in England;
Minister of Religion: intended for foreigners offered employment in a religious community, such as missionaries;
International Sportsperson: for elite sportsmen or qualified coaches with international recognition.
In addition to being qualified for the position, the foreign professional must meet several requirements to obtain the General Work Visa (Tier 2). To obtain authorization and work in England, it is necessary to prove the link with the company approved by the Home Office, proficiency in English and receive at least one minimum wage per month.



family visa:

The Family Visa is intended for foreigners with English spouses or partners who wish to live together permanently in England. It has a term of two years and six months, but can be extended.

Another method is to apply for an EU Settlement Scheme family permit to join family in the UK. This family permit is indicated for foreigners who wish to join a family member from the European Union, EEA, Switzerland or England and authorizes them to stay in the country for up to six months.

Is visa for those with European citizenship different?

Not.

After Brexit, foreigners with European citizenship who arrived in England after 31 December 2020 must obtain a visa to live and work in the country. In these cases, the application process is done through the points immigration system.

Other European citizens who plan to spend more than six months in England, whether to study or work, must also apply for the corresponding visa and fulfill the necessary requirements.
