A few years back Nigeria had people turn in their guns making them defenseless against Fulani herdsmen who maim and go unchallenged. Many years ago, individuals could own guns legally in Nigeria yet murder rate by firearms remained stable.

A country that boast of millions of drug addicts and numerous mental health issues shouldn't have almost 400m guns in circulation.
