Former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi has congratulated Osun governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke.

The Labour Party (LP) presidential flagbearer issued a statement on Sunday night.

Obi also hailed LP candidate, Yusuf Lasun and his running mate, Adeola Atanda, for a hard fought battle and their spirit of sportsmanship.

The politician told the “Obidient Movement” and admirers nationwide that outcome “is not a verdict on our exponentially growing strength”.

Obi noted that the movement is barely one month old in the party “and we had to contend with forces that have been entrenched in the state for the last two decades”.

He said within a short period, the LP has made its presence and political impact felt nationally.

“We must strengthen our collective resolve not relent in our noble march to take back our country”, the statement reads.

Admitting that much work remained to be done, Obi charged supporters to focus the totality of efforts on the 2023 general elections.

The presidential candidate said with time, the message of rescue and recovery will resonate throughout Nigeria.

“Most electorate will buy into our mission to take back Nigeria, for the purpose of rescuing it from decline, shifting the psyche from consumption to production, and sharing of dwindling resources”, he added.

The online community is the most viable place to have streams income....
The bugging question always is what has APC done as a party(I was a party member though slightly active) that gives them the audacious confidence to keep campaigns? In sane climes their campaigns and campaigners will be lynched or attacked by angry citizens anywhere they are seen doing such satanic campaigns.

PDP had over 400k votes. In 2023, more than 300k of that number would vote for LP including most people who didn't vote.

So LP would have about 700k votes from Osun state next year.

Labour Party amassed less than 2,600 votes in Osun.
I think it is enough to give Peter Obi and LP headaches.

It is one thing to have online supporters and in fact supporters among youths, but what is being done to make sure our aged Mothers and Fathers in the remotest places in the villages across all 36 states of Nigeria buy into the cause?

Youths only is not enough.

In as much as I want Obi to be the President, it's looking impossible. The structure is not just there. Youths will still collect money from Apc and Pdp to vote them into power.

All of them are the same, either Pdp or Apc or LP.


If Obi wins, you'll see those old men porting to LP from other parties.

Obi is the precursor of Nigeria new politics... We will gradually march away from the days when you have to an agbero to be a politician, days when you have to use threats as a form of campaigning!

LP under Peter Obi will take Nigeria and Nigerians to a new light. We shall once again become really proud of our nation and the people leading us. If the HEAD is bad, whatever the nation does will continue to fail. Nigerians are good people, but for long we have been jinxed with rotten heads.

The time is now! We shall be better! Like Phoenix we shall rise from the ashes of old corrupt politicians.
