Iwo is predominantly a Muslim town but Adeoti a Muslim and Aregbesola's ally delivered Iwo to PDP to spite Oyetola.

Adeleke himself was surprised and mentioned it. Osogbo is another predominantly Muslim town that voted en masse for Adeleke.
