Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has in recent days began massive raids of "red light districts", brothels/motels known for promoting prostitution commonly known as "olosho" within Benin City and its environs in an effort to kick out prostitution.

It has become public knowledge to residents in the state about the nuisance these prostitutes constitute daily within the state capital and environs.
