As a Nigerian, I can confidently tell anyone who care to listen that the problem of this nation is centered around these people (National/state Assembly members)but they are quick to point accusing fingers to others.

Can we just say that majority of our nowadays youths are too silly or educated illiterates.

The bad roads in your communities, hospitals, elementary schools, transformers repairing and replacement, elderly and widows empowerment, youth empowerment, markets, transportation and other local economic activities are the sole functions of your state and local governments.

I could remember when I was young, my dad being one of the leading landlords in our area will go to local government then and bring tractor to smooth all the roads and gutters before the commencement of every rain season. Local government were very efficient and close to the people, the same cannot be say this period.

People wont blame their state governors for their total failure and mismanagement of local government fund but president.

No man born from the womb of a woman can solve Nigeria problem with this current political arrangement and constitution.

In Nigeria everything they will be blaming the president.
This is not military regime where the president appoints the governors, therefore it gives him absolute power to control the governors.
In democracy the governors are elected the same way the president is elected, the governors have every power to protect the citizens of their respective states.
Some people will come here to tell us that the governors cannot control or command the police, but those same governors command the police in the middle of d night to go rescue a corrupt judge from the hands of efcc. The same governors also sworn to the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria that they will protect their citizens, they also collect security votes in billions every month.
The question I have is: What is the function of your governors? Why did you vote for your governors? Does the president have the power to command the governors?

Look at what happened to the lawyer in Akwa Ibom state. This is the impunity that exist, even at the lowest level. This is what pertains in every fibre of the system. You can't hold even the common local govt or the lowest ward chairman or councillor accountable, without you receiving harassment or even get arrested over trumped up charges. Because these men at the grassroot do the dirty work for the men at the top during elections, and they get covered by the top. Those are the structures the governor or president is banking on to rig elections for them. So, how can you hold them accountable when these set of men only answer to the governor or president, and they live in mutual benefit?
The president has the moral burden to set exemplary standards. He has shown impunity that emboldens every political leader to be unreasonable and wicked.
