So why impeach him now when he just have few months to go. All the while that Nigerians have been killed by bandits, boko haram, unknown gunmen, etc you silly senators never saw the need to impeach the incompetent man, but now that your looting capital(Abuja) is no longer safe that's when you guys remembered impeachment.

Maybe the senators should start by cutting their gigantic allowances for doing absolutely nothing! People just sit their behinds down to scream 'I' and 'NEY' only to go home with millions of naira. Isn't Nigeria wonderful.

Oga, it is a threat that should spur positive action.
Positive action that will save lives.
So the timing doesn't matter, lives matter.

The government has been too comfortable for 7 years because of unwarranted fanaticism.
That was our fault, the fault of passive Nigerians, but enough is enough.
They need a kick up their backside.

Stop talking...your time is almost up.

Start by impeaching Lawan if you have the guts. Then we can take you seriously....... But for now you are just making noise.

Better late than never.
Impeaching him even on his last day in office still sends a strong message about our democratic institutions.

News still developing:

A bipartisan impeachment of Donald Trump has just taken place.

House of Representatives impeaches President Trump for the second time
The US House of Representatives voted to impeach President Trump on one article of impeachment on Wednesday, charging the outgoing president with inciting the January 6 attack on the US Capitol building. The House vote makes Trump the first president in US history to be impeached twice.

. People have been the victims of terrorist attacks in a large number yet the House has not impeached PMB.Now the lawmakers are not safe in Abuja they are calling for the impeachment of the PMB. Selfish lawmakers! In my opinion We shiukd let him finish his 12 months and go. If he is impeachmed now the North will claim they did not finish their tenure like in the time of Yardua. For this reason they may be voting Atiku enmasses in 2023. May God protect us in his remaining months of his tenure!

Africa is the most useless continent in the world. Plus having the most useless and greedy politicians with zero honor and integrity to the most ignorant citizens.
Impeachment is a future impossible tense in Nigeria so y'all should stop reasoning the matter. Her leaders rather than step down for good hands to pilot the country, they rather sink it further and run away with their family. Ogun kill every enemy of the country.

For you to impeach Buhari, you have to get Lawan out of the way, but I doubt if it would ever happen. Nigerians should just brace up and pray they survive what of left of this miserable administration. Buhari is a spectacular failure, one of the worst I have ever seen or read about, the man too fall hand, and he doesn't even seem to care, quite appalling! embarassed

Nice plan. Impeach him....... then he will now come and "die"........... as he truly died years ago. Problem solved. Then PYO will take over and use EFCC to arrest Tinubu. They will now disqualify BAT so that Shettima will run with Atiku. Atiku will now win and in the interest of Nigeria obediently hand over to PO.

Abeg long thing....... Buhari must finish his tenure so that in school curriculum, movies and public lectures for years to come nobody will drag the title "monumental failure" with him. Because baba can still fix Nigeria in 7 days.

The insecurities didn't get to them in Abuja, but now they feel insecured, they have to move against him.

Painfully they tell us how terrorists use money from kidnapping to purchase arms. How these arms are able to easily enter our country is unbelievable. We are told how large swaths of the northern lands are not secured. What has happened to employing more personnel into the security? They tell us how budgetary allocations are not enough, yet they tell us how the budgets were not used up 100%.

How has this country arrived at this very poor level? The only reason why some leaders find themselves in the position is their “lifelong ambition”. They have nothing to offer in the end , except to use the positions to corruptly enrich themselves and their associates.

Once again I repeat that it is time to go our separate ways peacefully. Let the Yorubas go, Let the Igbos go. Let the Ijaws go. Let the Fulanis go.

Nobody is impeaching anybody. It's just a charade by the Senate to make Nigerians think they're working, in order to calm the citizens down.

Impeachment process is not a one day thing. It take up to 4 months.

If they're serious they won't go for holiday in the first place.

Trump was impeached (not Nigeria's version though) a week before the expiration of his tenure!

Impeachment of Buhari now, makes no sense. Osinbajo would take over, appoint new service chiefs and security heads, who will only be in position for a few months, before the new administration comes in.
What the national assembly can quickly do, is pass a law allowing Nigerians to arm themselves (like we used to) Also pass a law to allow the creation of armed private security firms. The govt simply can't protect us.
