Ebay is one of the safest online marketing platforms in the world and they do not tolerate any forms of scam related issue from either the seller or buyer. Infact the level of security there can sometimes be annoying.
BTW are you in Nigeria? Cause $300 isn't worth ₦124,000. The rates ebay use when converting isn't the same used in making payments from Nigeria. It's either you use normal black market dollar rate or you find a checkout service guy to do that for you at a cheaper rate.

Just be careful, check for reviews,the fact that the platform is safe doesn't mean you shouldn't do your own research,there are scammers there too though not much.

I've seen cases of sellers sending the wrong item or not as describe on the description and pic only for him to tell you to return it and of course when you look at the cost of sending it back you will be force to either tell the seller to give you a probably $20-$25 refund depending on the seller,some will tell you to return it.

I remember a friend that bought a motherboard from eBay only for it to get here and found that the onboard processor have been removed, outrightly condemning the motherboard (scrap)

He couldn't return it because of the cost of returning it which is over #25k.
