I think it should be the other way round. It should be the NBC (on behalf of the FG) paying the media houses N5m each for helping them to unravel the mystery behind banditry in the country. The FG is supposed to latch on the findings in the documentary to fight terrorism. Unfortunately, we have a government that acts irrationally.

A serious government who has not signed a MOU with bandits would have taken opportunity of these documentaries to subdue the criminals. These journalist risked their lives to meet and interview the bandits in their hideouts in location the government claimed they do not know.
Why can't the government use this vital revelation to unveil and bring the bandits to book?
Are they scared of their contribution to insecurity in Nigeria?
