Everyone has their choices, what differentiates you from religious extremists, if you want everyone to think and act like you. Even the president don't have this power. Not everyone that supports other candidates are being bribed or given money to buy their conscience, most truly like them or have benefitted from them when they were in public office, or have benefitted from them in the past etc.

Politics is about interest, it might be ideological, a candidate's way of life, precedence, track records, or simply just liking the person. If we all turn to extremists forcing our opinions on others, then the society will be full of strife. The people are one, it's the people against the politicians, let us stop giving politicians soft landing, it makes them lazy, let's start making our demands from politicians rather than hailing them.
