On August 12th 1989, the late Samuel Okwaraji collapsed and died while playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. It was a world cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Angola. The question is: has he been immortalized by the federal government? If not, why not? When will he be immortalized to encourage other Nigerians to give their all for their country? |
