The Sports Ministry has given medal winners their due after a record-breaking performance of 35 medals. All medal winners who raised the Nigerian flag at the just finished Commonwealth Games in Birmingham received rewards from the country’s sports ministry. We learned that the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development provided financial incentives to all medal winners and their coaches in recognition of their bravery in Birmingham.
