Peter Obi 2023: Shame On All The Southeast Big Politicians by YourhealthNG2(m): 4:12am On Aug 12, 2022

Shame on you all that parade yourselves as big politicians from the southeast geopolitical zones.

In the last few years, you guys have cried and complained bitterly about the political marginalisation of the southeast.

Going into the last Presidential primaries in the 2 major political parties, many of you made very valid arguments that for the sake of justice, equity and fairness, it should be the turn of the southeast.

The message resonated with a section of the political class so much so that the Afenifere, Ohaneze Ndigbo and Middle Belt Forum made very strong case for a presidency of the southeast extraction.

We expected our current crop of big politicians from the southeast to get a buy-in of their colleagues, put in a very good show at primary elections and win at least a ticket of either the PDP or APC or both.

But alas, they failed woefully. None of them could garner more than 10% votes cast. Many even got zero votes despite going into the primary election with a sizeable number of delegates from the southeast.

From Dave Umahi, Orji Uzo Kalu, Rochas Okorocha, Ken Nnamani, Ogbonaya Onu, Chimaroke Nnamani, etc o lu le.

They were beaten, out-spent and out-smarted by their colleagues from other sections of the country. They cried foul but none cared to listen. They shouted marginalisation but none paid attention.

Coincidently, a Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, from the southeast geopolitical zone, found favour among the Nigerian youths. The youths cutting across all tribes - Yorubas, Igbos, Hausas, Fulani, Ijaw, Edo, Isoko, Ishekiri, etc etc fell in love with the candidacy and message of Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and made him a prominent contender in the 2023 presidential elections.

Even for daring to carry the matter of Peter Obi on their heads, and despite being from diverse ethnic groups, the Nigerian youths have been blackmailed and called all sorts of names by the mesmerised supporters of APC and PDP. They called them IPOB, angry, abusive, bullies, etc.

One would have thought that the so called big politicians from the southeast, who have all the while cried of marginalisation, would have rallied round Peter Obi, who against all odds, have emerged as a third force. But rather than toe this line, it's becoming obvious that some of the biggest opposition to Peter Obi will come from his own political zones.

Many big politicians from other geopolitical zones have rallied round their own candidates. Aminu Tambuwal had to step down for Atiku Abubakar to emerge as PDP Presidential candidate. Governor of Lagos State, Sanwo Olu, have urged the Yorubas to support Tinubu. Same with Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state. And so on and so forth.

Surprisingly, till date, no big politician from the southeast has thrown his weight behind the candidacy of Peter Obi.

Some of them like Dave Umahi, Chimaroke Nnamani, etc have come out openly to oppose the candidacy of Peter Obi.

Not even IPOB, whose agitation is also anchored on marginalisation, supports Peter Obi, either overtly or covertly. In fact, the biggest opposition to Peter Obi is coming from the coward called Simon Ekpa of IPOB from his hideout in Finland.

Consequently, one can conclude that all the hues and cries about marginalisation by the so called big politicians and elites from the southeast is about personal and selfish interest. It is all about their pockets and stomachs. This guys do not care one bit about the interest of either the youths or masses from their geopolitical zones.

This is very shameful indeed.

Anyway, it's a democracy and they are free to support whoever they deem fit.

But henceforth, no one, including IPOB, should whin or cry about marginalisation.

Furthermore, whether they like it or not, the Nigerian youths, whose future is at sake, have taken their destinies in their hands. We will stand with Peter Obi/Ahmed Yusuf and fight the behemoths of APC and PDP till the end. Enough is enough.

We will fight to finish and victory shall be ours in Jesus name. All say amen. Amen.

Valid, concurring, and I endorse.

Self-hate and self-centeredness is the world.

For those shouting to split Nigeria or restrictive blablabla

I keep telling them...

Even if you create 744 different countries in line with our LGAs from the present day Nigeria, every problem and agitation currently being faced by the current state will still subsist.

We are peculiarly flawed as a people.

Surprisingly, till date, no big politician from the southeast have thrown his weight behind the candidacy of Peter Obi.

As governor, Peter Obi sacked civil servants that were non-citizens of Anambra. It didn't matter how long they had been in service, Obi fired them.

As governor, Peter Obi discriminated against Anglican Ibos.

As governor Peter Obi discriminated against osu.

As governor, Peter Obi discriminated against other Ibos of non Anambra stock.

Wether they governors support obi or not the entire Igbo race are strongly behind him.
Obi is guaranteed nothing less 95% of all the votes cast by any Igbo man or woman any where in Nigeria .

This fact is as sure as assuring that the sun is real.

In 20233 the Igbos will vote as never before.

Op, I understand your concerns and they are very valid but you have to understand that these south east politicians are career politicians who run to Abuja and pride themselves about being highly connected at the Nation seat of power

They know that a Peter Obi presidency will put a stop to that and ensure they become jobless just like the way he retired some of them in Anambra State to the extent one of them voiced out his frustration by accusing Peter Obi of being stingy because Peter Obi did not provide drinks when people pay him a visit at the government house. Peter Obi answered that the government house is not a beer parlour

Labour Party is relatively new and has no structure. Don't ever take that for granted because structure matters in Nigeria's politics. Supporting a politician who runs on a political party without a structure is a big, senseless gamble. Voters can afford to gamble, but not politicians.

However, what will happen in South East in 2023 shouldn't bother you because our presidential political sentiments remain the same, despite party affiliations. Who endorsed or criticized him in the region doesn't matter. The 5 states always have the same voting pattern in presidential election.

The masses have come to see politicians for who they're. Peter is a gift and consolation for Nigerian youths. For the Southeast politicians, both Umahi and Chimaraoke is irrelevant in southeast presidency and for Ekweremadu he'll rot in jail

You're a shameless liar..

Peter Obi never did anything like that.

Rather it was a governor of another southeast state that did that.

But you want the Yoruba race to abandon Tinubu for your Igbo agenda?

You are wise, while the Yorubas that you mock daily are unwise.

They want to leave a 1st class finance brain that is experienced in growing an economy, for a 3rd class Philosophy graduate that doesn't believe in structures or infrastructure in aiding development.

They want to leave a politician who patiently grew his political capital and laboured to be where he is now, while being steadfast in the face of opposition in his own party. But the other candidate is a typical political prostitute who is desperate and unwilling to fight for anything in the face of opposition, and would rather run away to avoid defeat, only to resurrect in another party he never laboured for.

Did tinubu remember the Yoruba bond when him and Murics said we will not vote for any
candidate who is not Yoruba Muslim.

Let me ask you if prof. Osinbajo is a Muslim will he be thrown out in the APC primary election.

Christians are fools?

When it favors Yoruba Muslims you become one Yoruba nation but when the Yoruba Muslim are not favored they abandon the Yoruba christians and align with Hausa Muslim.

Christians are fool aren't they?
We find out in 2023

Obi real supporters most especially some big politicians, if you check well are none of his kinsmen, but genuine Nigerians from other tribes & regions. Most of the top politicians from the Southeast Geo Political Zone are envious of Obi's political assendency & wish they ought to have been the one in such strides, hence their antagonistic posturing towards Peter Obi.
The Igbo's don't love to support it kind, but they will pretend as if they do.
Mention any Igbo big name that is behind Obi in this rescue Nigeria mission
Obi supporters are the poor peasants, artisans & the vast Nigerian youths.
During the party primaries of both APC & PDP, most of the Igbo contestants were rather stepping down for politicians from other ethnic regions and none stepped down for each other, but they are the ones who have been saying that they have not produce the president of the Country.
Ken Nnamani who did he support
Orji Uzor Kalu who did he support
Chris Ngige who did he support
Senator Ike Ekweremadu who is he supporting
Hope Uzodinma who did he support
Sullivan Chime who did he support
Chimaroke Nnamani who did he support
Rochas Okorocha who did he support
Dave Umahi who is he supporting
Ifeanyi Ukwanyi who is he supporting
Okeazie Ikpeazu who is he supporting
Senator Uche Ekunife who is she supporting
Fr.Ejike Mbaka who is he supporting
Chief Authur Eze who is he supporting
Sir Emeka Offor who is he supporting
Chief Emmanuel Iwanyiawu who is he supporting
The list is endless
They can never support their own like the Northerners will always do when it comes to forging a common goal for a national interest & cohesion.

What they don't know is that Peter Obi must pull 10m votes to make South East politicians relevant again. It is so easy to overlook the southeast because the political class is scared that people won't vote them. If Obi loses but gets at least 10m votes spread across Nigeria, he would prove to northerners, westerners and all Nigerians that an Igbo president is possible and fair. So whether they support or not, Obi will determine if PDP and APC would want to gamble an Igbo presidency in the future.

If I were them, I would work covertly for Obi's success not necessary victory, because his success is their collective success for the future. By the way I am Obedient.

Igbo politicians should understand the republican nature of Igbo society.
The British during the colonial Era found it difficult to tame the Igbo Nation.

Don't worry yourself, we'll put and fix them where they belong.
They will understand that IGBO ENWEGHỊ EZE!

Let's not shame them, though we know many of them are just selfishly after their own pockets. They don't care if their region or the nation is impoverished in poverty.

LP is the party.

Peter Obi and Hamed Datti are our next President and Vice-President.
Re: Peter Obi 2023: Shame On All The Southeast Big Politicians by ajekpaks(m): 8:05am On Aug 12, 2022
OP truly truly shame on them...

You Should understand that they are all wondering how something they have been fighting for, for years and didn't work out only for Peter Obi to come from nowhere and sweep they off with monumental alacrity...

They will come on board but for now they are observing the process

And do not forget many of them owe allegiances to the powers that be for the current positions they occupy...

Withdrawing might have huge consequences to their political ambitions...

But when the time comes... We won't use Igbo to communicate to Oyibo man...

It's like certain people lifeblood is simply lies. Every moment they open mouth, the only thing they can manage to spew out is lies upon lies.

Peter Obi sacked all civil servants from other states and yet still a Yoruba man is a director in Anambra civil service commission? He sacked them all and an Imo woman was a director under education?

See, it is even better they stay away from Obi because their presence would only bring unneeded baggages. Igbo masses don't need those corrupt politicians to tell them what to do. We are all Obi-dients and failed politicians like Ikpeazu, Ekweremadu, Ugwuanyi, Hope, Nnamani etc are hated by the people so they have no value.

Again, if they cluster around Obi, the BATstards that have been trying to reduce the Obi movement as an Igbo affair would have a field day trying to rewrite the narrative.
