He cited sections 13, 20, 43, 45, 48, 51, 53 and 58 of the NHAct 2014 as contentious sections of the Act, which ought to be amended for the safety of Nigerians.

It beggars belief that Nigerian law would permit human organ harvesting without consent. Without reading up on the above-quoted laws, the logical presumption would be that harvesting of human organs currently allowed by Nigerian law refers only to the extraction of said organs from fresh traffic accident fatality victims once an autopsy is complete, even in the absence of permission to do so from the deceased person's next-of-kin.

The outlandish scenario that I am sure could never be permitted by Nigeria law would be the harvest of organs from LIVING hospital patients without the consent of the "organ donor", or from comatose individuals without the written consent of their bonafide and verified next-of-kin. If such predatory organ grabs ARE currently allowed by Nigerian law, then urgent changes MUST be made to that seriously flawed legislation to prevent Nigeria from becoming the world's one-stop human organ shop, with all "donors" simply kidnapped and murdered by criminal cartels devoted to that trade alone.
