Before Buhari became president, Nnamdi Kanu criticized Jonathan and called him names, but nobody cared. Buhari's DSS overzealousness or trying to impress the president made IPOB popular. And Buhari's failure to punish the killer herders sprang up ESN. According to Isaac Newton, for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.

But then, those groups are still active in the East because people still sit at home on Mondays. However, what I think has happened is that a good number of Nigerians believe that Peter Obi will correct the ills of this government. As a result, unlike Simon Ekpa, most of them are no longer active like they used to.

The truth is, if Nigerian leaders genuinely pursued and upheld justice, fairness and equity, why would anyone want to form their own country? No country is perfect, but there are basic ingredients that make a nation what it is.
