Quite straightforward actually.
We all should get involved in various ways with the different aspects of the political process to shape the agenda and put pressure on all the players. Get involved with our time, talents and money to make an impact that reflects our own desires.
Is that not generally what oyinbos do to make their places a desirable destination for us to japa to

Good... I believe that's already happening at all levels today.

Most Nigerians are more focused, critical, and watchful.

The participation in politics by most Nigerians has increased threefold compared to a decade ago.

So sad, to even get PTA now is a problem

There is no FX any where. Foreign investors are offloading their portfolios at a record level to avoid further looses in their portfolio investment.

Very soon, most banks wont have FX to finance import and issue letters of credit. If you have any means of earning foreign currency or doing any job that would guarantee you payment in FX, you are lucky.

Thank God someone is saying the same thing i have been talking about

Anyone who has been following news or who knows the bare minimum about the economy knows.

Simply put, the airlines sell tickets in naira (converted from dollars at official rate) but the repatriation of revenue is done in US dollars (after government takes out taxes). Currently, the Nigerian government has not provided the dollars to Emirates and it has accumulated to 85 million dollars
They should buy dollars where everyone else buys from. What is stopping them? Why must government provide them? Guinness, Nigerian Breweries , Nestle and others are still in business

The way I see Tinubu supporters choose post they comment on or rather challenge other supporters on is very funny and makes them so irrelevant to make unnecessary arguments with because they know fully well that there principal and head has failed woefully but they still won't give up....

See landslide failure of this administration....

From one pit to another bottomless pit.

APC I hail thee

Okay! The third airline to seize operations in Nigeria. Very soon we would have no choice than to use "by Roads" and get in mercy of kidnappers. We would also have to start international travels by sea and get in mercy of pirates ☠ APC has created so much vacuum that would be so tough for the next President to fill up, what a shame !

Nigga, you alredy giving excuse for the next president of Nigeria. Whats the diffrent between you and APC members ?
Same way APC members are blaming PDP for what they are currently facing.

I asked that question in 2020....

Well, it's already 2 years, and APC has surpassed all shocking expectations with little chance of slowing down the pace into the abyss!

Just imagine if the idiot wasn't forcefully removed by Babangida back in the day...!

Now, people are asking me to forgive and forget the past and vote APC again! How dumb do they think we are?!!
They have been totally awful and this is a calamity we shouldn’t let happen again.

The problem with the internet is that it gives a platform to ignoramuses to talk nonsense and mislead others. I see the number of likes your dumb post gathered and “blind leading the blind” comes to mind…not even one eyed man!!!

There is a difference between excess crude account and Oil reserves. Oil reserves is measured in barrels of Oil!!!

Illiterates!!!!!!

Bad press and journalism.....No explanation of what led to the US$85 million been blocked. abi we be witch to know why

They cannot repatriate their Fx at N430 rate, CBN on their part is paying heavily to importers at that rate, emirate do not import, they want their funds repatriated at the actual FX value of over N600, not the fake one being held by CBN to fund a few criminals like oil importers and burea d changes dominated by northerners.

Airlines are not being subsidized, so why should they take the haircut, when they also spend heavily on JetA1? Most of them applied for import licenses so they can pay for their own JetA1 thereby spending some of those cash on their operational cost, but FG refused.

It is an agreement with the CBN. If they had charged in Naira using black market rates then they would have had to repatriate the dollars using black market rates but they charged in naira using the CBN rates.

Nigeria's initial problems has been overtaken by the APC's invented insecurity, economic crisis and bitter religious and ethnic differences. Nobody can ever solve Nigeria's political problems. The nation is busy preparing for elections while the unrepentant blood sucking Fulani terrorists are busy building terrorists camps all over the country in preparation for their long anticipated jihadist conquest. No worries, they will surely meet their Waterloo down south.

Nigeria from one problem to the other daily.

How do we encourage foreign investors when the one we have already are not feeling at home? In every indices we score zero, yet making it difficult for investors to thrive. Unless we sort our refining issues, there's no way we can have FX sustainability by spending over 70% of our FX on importation of fuel. We just dont have leaders. Shameful.

So in your own school of economics repatriation of money out of the country is an investment.

repatriation of money is a global phenomenon so far the money is legitimate. you want FDI inflows but abhors outflows. Make your business environment favourable and investors will prefer to expand domestically than repatriate funds. What a business owes you is Tax and employment of domestic labour. If the environment is good enough dey will expand their proceeds in-house.
