With what I see during this years WAEC examination, I can't trust any statics on WAEC or NECO results. That of JAMB is still more reliable. Even on Nairaland here your see WAEC runs and NECO runs.

Marry a young virgin girl and have peace.
If you didn't disvirgin your wife, then at least one of your children is not your own.
Prepare to spend your hard earned money on a child you didn't father.
Note that as soon as her ex shows up, she will fvck him again and again.
Once a woman starts misbehaving, know that she has started seeing another man.
The woman who loves you will not stress you.
Vote BAT. God bless Nigeria.

Alot of factors cometo play before waec result is cooked and baked.

Exam malpractice too will affect the result

Late registration and nearness to the exam centre too will affect the students

As for waec, they sometimes rush up to meet the set time they need to mark their exam scripts, most of those teachers are hastened up to mark dummies and exam booklets, some of them sometimes complains of not being paid on time.

Another factor is the social media, many of our youths nowadays are on Whatsapp and Facebook whilst their teacher is teaching them in the class, so this also affects their performances.

But all in all, the zone or region has little or no effect at all.
In 2005, they wrote the waec exams twice because the first one was cancelled when. There was widespread exam malpractice in Lagos, and all the candidates were boasting on the streets that they have lambasted waec exams, so the exam body ordered that they redo some subjects,

What affects results most on the part of the students is reading culture while on the part of the govt/ society is money because in the north most of those schools waec fees were paid by the govt. and they will even be begging them to come to school. But down in the south parent will pay humongous sums of money on their kids and will admonish him or her that "alaye, if you fail your waec exam, you will go and learn trade, " so the child too will do all his best to make sure that he passed.

As for south west, what might have caused the failure is the apparent quagmire that "there is no job" even those who even go to school are roaming around jobless or end up doing yahoo yahoo!
So there is this laxity amongst the students that they shouldn't bother themselves about academics but just learn how to make money.

It is well!

Let's check and see if most of these high flyers did in-house examination malpractice.
Let's stop fooling ourselves on this country.
