I distaste Buhari with a passion! If Buhari is truly concerned about increasing the salaries of civil servants, let him start by reducing the cost of governance. Senators, members of reps, ministers, governors, government functionaries etc should all be placed on minimum wage. What happened to all the repatriated Abacha loot? The money was re-looted! Buhari is an idiot!

How do you increase prices of Public goods and services and wont increase salaries. Who taught Buhari Economics? A civil servant is still earning 40,000 naira in this harsh economy. You can advance economic growth through salary increment as workers will create businesses and employed the unemployed. They prefer looting it and taking it abroad to spend. Useless Government.

Saudi Arabia's Aramco just declared 90% increase in profit since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. We both sell to thesame market yet NNPC can't even tell us how much we're making from oil. Truly our.leaders are fantastically corrupt!

Buhari is trying to say Nigeria is very broke and is unable to increase salaries of workers.

However, Buhari is willing to borrow billions of dollars to fund railway project linking Niger Republic to Nigeria and buying luxury SUVs for that same country. Isn't this unwise.

Salary increment for Civil servants (in govt parastatals) can only be implemented iff (if and only if) our politicians and law-makers will agree to a major cut in their own salary and allowances.

Apparently this is highly unlikely.
