You have to believe them. The coal deposits in Enugu state should be a reminder of how old this planet is. Coal doesn't take thousands of years to form, it takes millions.
You should read up how trees died and compacted till they became coal.
Omo this Earth is full of mysteries.
How these scientists can accurately tell us when the next ten eclipses or asteroid flybys are going to happen, down to the last minute should be a clear example of what those people can do.
Look at evolution, we ask questions like humans aren't evolving, but we are. A good example of human evolution that we tend to downplay is Covid 19. Today, covid is now part of respiratory illnesses like bronchitis and asthma. Our bodies will accommodate them and in few years, it'll be normal.
If they said it's 100 million+ years, it's true.

Just see the number of idiots calling this story false, simply because their tiny brains cannot comprehend prehistoric times which go contrary to the book of fairy tales that says, without any shred of evidence, that the earth is 4,000 years old.

These people believe giants walked the earth, Methuselah lived thousands of years, spirits and demons and angels are real, destinies can be chained up with padlocks....but they've a hard time believing prehistoric reptiles and mammals walked the earth millions of years ago.
