Anyone who has been abroad driving on highways will have seen large distribution centers/ warehouses in the middle of nowhere.

The last pic is IKEA USA west coast distribution center in in the middle of the California desert. Apart from the issue of traffic and access, you require large acreage for distribution centers and land is cheaper in the outskirts.

Lagos alone can feed ALL Nigerians,if only we are serious - From Badagry Area,Agbowa --to -Epe,these expanse of lands can farm Rice and Fish!
This is what THAILAND is using to feed the whole World through Exports and earn Foreign Currencies! Imagine the Millions of $Dollars being received by the Thailand Govt in Rice Exportation every Year- to Nigeria and other African Countries!
