Don’t Elect Incompetent Leaders, Sanusi Tells Nigerians by treesun: 8:35am On Aug 25, 2022
Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Wednesday, said elections of leaders for the country should be based on competence and not ethnicity.

He said candidates’ agenda should also be scrutinised “so as to know what we are going into before we get into it.”

Sanusi spoke at The August Event 2022 organised by the Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation in collaboration with St Nicholas Hospitals held in Lagos.

The event tagged, “Nigerian Healthcare System: The Past, Present and Future; celebrating the legacy of Chief Dr Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi,” is held every two years to celebrate the legacy of MAMF founder’s passion for growth and development in healthcare and education.

Sanusi, who was the chairman of the event, said, “Political aspirants should also be asked of their plans for hospitals and education amongst other key undeveloped areas in the country.

“The government has lost respect for the profession and no amount invested into education can be gotten back in salaries in this country. Doctors and teachers deserve a decent life and respect.

“Education and healthcare are the basic foundation for the development of a nation, and the rate of brain drain is high because prepared budgets in the health and education sectors have been embezzled and mismanaged.

“In 2016, 18 % of inflation was recorded which made the price of everything on average to double every four years. A bag of rice which sold for N8, 000 in 2015, now cost N35,000.

“In 2011, a debate was held right here in this same venue about fuel subsidy. We did everything within our powers to tell Nigerians to cater first for priorities, but we now spend a borrowed N6.7trn on fuel subsidy which will continue until June 2023.

“Inflation, exchange rates, cheap fuel that is not produced by our refineries all create negative impacts, and are also a brain drain of the economy which cannot be addressed in isolation.”

We have competent leaders when it comes to siphoning money meant for the masses..

We don't have competent leaders when it comes to good governance and transparency

Let the masses decide who they want to use to change the trajectory for once

We want a youth, we don't want anyone about 50.

We don't want any former leader, like former governors.

We don't want anything APC or PDP candidates.

We don't want any PDP Decampees like Obi and Kwankwaso.

In a sand country anyone who failed as younger governor or vice president shouldn't be thinking of ruling us AGAIN

Great. Sanusi has spoken again. The man just doesn't send anybody.

For the aspirant promising millions of jobs, we don't compulsorily need jobs, we need hope. With hope, things will naturally fall in place, as long as the hope isn't dashed in any bit.
Re: Don’t Elect Incompetent Leaders, Sanusi Tells Nigerians by Coldie(m): 8:55am On Aug 25, 2022
They are warning them, giving them red flags but they won’t listen. Out of tribalism, nepotism and wickedness they would see the right thing ignore it and do the full blown wrong thing. Then after doing it they leave others to their fates and run to another country and start taking pictures.

Tinubu personally is a known election rigger, that makes peoples children useless because he wants to have an army of riff raffs who do his bidding’s that he can wake up tell them army of riff raffs to go and disturb end sars protest and they won’t blink an eye, tell them to go and disturb polling stations at opposition strong holds and they would do it 100%.according to them them he developed Lagos he built Lagos but them them won’t tell u that before Tinubu Lagos was already developed. They would say if not for Tinubu Lagos would still be behind, but is it Tinubu that developed Akwa ibom state? Is it Tinubu that developed ebonyi state? Is it Tinubu that developed Bornu state? Is it Tinubu that developed Rivers state? Is it Tinub that developed Kaduna?

So because El Rufai developed Kaduna he should install himself godfather of kaduna in perpetuity, make his wife a senator representing him one zone, install his daughter leader of all markets in kaduna, install his son as the person in charge of collecting revenues for all propositions in the state, make his company incharge of collecting all revenues in kaduna before removing to the state, then build a toll gate and be incharge of collecting the money?

Is this right?

Nigerians with Brian’s are seeing greed at the highest level they ignore it and are busy looking for where Peter obi would mention 3out of 5 schools in an interview he was giving stats from off his head and being asked random questions. Meanwhile the person they are supporting can’t hold a microphone.

2023 will be very interesting

Religion, & ethnicity will play very big role in the next general election although it's quite unfortunate

About 90% of Igbo vote goes to Peter Obi

Northerners will definitely vote massively for their own

Some northerners will vote for the present ruling party candidate but will not be as massive as they expect it to be

South west votes will be divided by the 3 major political party and religion, party affiliation will play key role in the division of votes

This is my personal opinion
