*Does Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo Book 'Six Decades of A Missing President' Truly Defines The Solution To The Problems?*

Amongst the many problems that seem to have slowed growth and developmental projects in Nigeria, is poor Leadership. Nigeria has been shaken by the impact of extreme poverty with huge domestic and foreign debts, an upsurge of a plethora of social vices – terrorism, genocidal killings, kidnapping, incessant ethno-religious violence, bereavement of health system, mental health problems manifesting suicide, among other conditions that demonstrate failure of government and a large gap between the governing authority and the citizenry, the Rule of law, knowledge system, competence and patriotism.

After the civil unrest tagged “End SARS protest” that griped the country in October, 2020 along with exacerbated terror actions and geo-ethno groups’ violence and killings with accentuated economic failures and administrative incompetence.

As Nigeria prepare to go to the Ballot, alot of questions has abound on who would eventually hold the mantle of Leadership. And what are the possibilities of a different spice to where Nigerians are agitating for?.

In his recent book titled 'SIX DECADES A MISSING PRESIDENT', Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo who is a Registrar of International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law, and legal researcher, scholar and human rights advocate - dotted key issues that has labelled around the Nigeria decade long problems.

He approached the book with some Untold Story Why Nigeria Fails, and Atiku Abubakar’s Rethinking of Link between Governance Agenda and Nigeria’s Renaissance. He scribbled some detailed direction to go; and further gave credence to Former Vice President and Presidential Candidate, Atiku’s Five-Point Agenda. His Manifesto on how to restore seem to have won his analytical appreciation.

In expounding this book’s seventh chapter, Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo touched on the pragmatic sense of Atiku’s Five-Point Agenda is examined – on how he hopes to achieve same, and what methodology for the achievement. The Agenda has stated its commitment to achievement through:

- [i]Restoration of Nigeria’s unity through equity, social justice as well as co-operation and consensus amongst heterogeneous people.
- Establishment of a strong and effective democratic government that
guarantees the safety and security of life and property.
- Building of a strong, resilient and prosperous economy that creates jobsand wealth and lift the poor out of poverty.
- Improvement and strengthening of the education system to equip its
recipients with the education and skills required to be competitive in the new global order which is driven by innovation, science and technology and to lead healthy, productive, and meaningful lives.[
/i]

In his Conclusion, he agreed that it seems that credibility and pragmatism contained in Atiku Abubakar’s Five-Point Agenda with regards to resolving the endemic problem of Nigeria are hidden particularly from those who only see in the general norm than analytical values and practicality. What are the social conditions that are responsible for prospects of the Five-Point Agenda to be hidden from a vast majority of Nigerians is an important social question.

Let me drop my analysis.

Atiku- Did far better than Buhari during his reign as vice president, at least he should be able to take us back to 2005. But, that's still average.

Obi- Didn't do well as a young governor, but he seems to have a plan, and idea, to make Nigeria great. And he is young.

Tinubu: he is a bit above average with his performance as a governor, and make sure any government that doesn't do well will not go a second term. But, he is old.

Kwankwaso: An average governor, still better than Buhari, who is the only major politician not tried or accused of corruption. He is also young

But, overall, they are all failure, they shouldn't be bold enough to tell us they will make Nigeria great, which they couldn't do as young governors/vice president. They can't do more that what they've done before.

Let's vote a new person, let's vote Accordingly!

I'm sorry to say that Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo has nothing reasonable to write about if all he could talk about is how to recircle old goons in the system.

Atiku will win this time. 65% sure.

Asiwaju and obi supporters should keep fighting themselves. While northerners see themselves as one. Who so ever win will be benefits for North.

Southerners are biggest loser.

Some. Animal who as never been to Lagos or who their father become somebody in life cos of Lagos will insult Tinubu while someone who never see the work of obi will insult hi obi.

Southerners will remain slave to north.

Wow who will believe that one day Atiku and unity and competence will be in same page ...how can Atiku unite the country when he a Cameroonian fulani man want to replace another fulani man..how does that show that Atiku is interested in the unity of this Country...second what social justice is he talking about, when he failed to stand his ground after he condemned the killing of Deborah rather like a coward ,he deleted his tweet after almajiries threatened his political ambition..this is some one that will stand for justice as a president...all these old thieves should retire from politics, the youths will take back this country next year.....

Story. Atiku will be worst than Buhari. Nepotism will be the order of the day. Just take a look at the offices in PDP already and tell me which southerner has a relevant position? Believe Atiku, at your own peril. The guy will do anything to just get to that position like Buhari, then he will show you pepper.

Our problem is the North and their fake numbers they use to intimidate the South to win election, they don't even produce oil and yet they have the control, once oil is discovered in the North they will start to agitate for separation from Nigeria.
North are not civil rulers, and they have ruled Nigeria to a dead end for a long time.

Tinubu & Atiku Are Playing Their Last Card, Anyone That Loses Will Never Contest again Because of Old Age, Both Are Nigerians , Both Are Elders , We Must Not Favour One And Leave One, The Best We Can Do is to Retire The Both of Them, No Winner No Vanquish.

Let Peter Obi Lead...
