We will keep borrowing as long as we subsidized fuel, education, electricity, health etc.

Imagine paying N6.72trn for fuel subsidy, that's stupidity.

Students pay N30,000 per session as fees in Federal Universities and you expect Nigerian University to be great. The cheapest university in South Africa is above 1 million naira.

Let's tell ourselves the truth.
What happened to all the looted money Nigeria government have in their possession . Since Nigeria started drilling oil no working refinery and stable electricity yet you’re comparing Nigeria to those countries.
Abacha for example has been returning loots since he passed on , where in the world have you heard such?
A whole 60 billion dollars budgeted for electricity was looted and no where to be found, where’s the money.

Federal government just released 6.5 billion for cattle ranching in Kano state but they can’t settle ASUU to call of strike so that people will go back to school , you think such country is serious for development of pertinent issues.

And for subsidy spending I put it's to you over 77 percent is all made up by the corrupt Buhari govt who mysteriously increased daily fuel consumption from 23 million litres to over 100million liters

What is the earning power of South Africans?
What is the benefit you derive from Nigeria as an oil producing country?
How can you relate Nigeria to countries like Germany, Norway, Hungary, Sweden, Finland , etc that practice free education?
Have you checked the tuition fees of the countries that doesn't practice free education and notice that as a hard worker, you can afford those tuition fees?
Let's compare Nigeria to countries of the world with facts and not one sided comparison.

I wish Buhari will be in power for another 4 years. He can't borrow the country into the latrine and then hand it over to somebody else.
Buhari should be in power for another 4 to 5 years to supervise the implosion and then explosion of the country as a result of his evil policies.
That will be a good farewell gift to those who continuously voted for him out of ethnic resentments for better alternatives.

What if he continue with the borrowing?

Honestly, this current finance minister is the most uninspiring finance ministers I have ever seen. She hardly makes any economic sense and avoids World Economic Forum or any international finance/economic forums like a plaque. Her own is just to sit down in Abuja and be approving nonsense and defending nonsense.

Kemi Adeosun seems far better.

it means ..fuel subsidies will be removed..and PMS will sell above N430 per litre..

My brother even if peter obi tell you the same thing and increase fuel to N430..will you agree

I hope you know that once PMS triple...every other thing especially food must rise

this is a lie

there is no such thing as free tertiary education in those countries..it is a bloody lie

the institutions in those countries set their school fees at a rate that they are able to pay their lecturers and manage the affairs of the school

that rate is not affordable for the average citizens there ..that is why they have what is called STUDENT LOANS...

Nigerian institutions needs to do the same....
there is a government owned institution that has the same thing done...it called Edo university..their school fees is set at a rate that they can handle all the cost of running the university ....their fee is between 400k and 600k

this is the same thing other institutions should do to permanently end strike.. if any student cant afford it..then the FG through some sort of micro finance banks can introduce at extremely low interest rates ..the same way it is done in sane countries..

if the federal university will have their fees increase to an average of 300k..it will still be one of the cheapest in the whole world

and it will be 300% cheaper than private institutions that pay nothing less than N1 million

dont be foolish..you cant be paying less than $100 for fees and expect the school to function the same as schools whose fees are no less than $2000... it is a mirage

dont defend foolishness

stop defending a failed government...there are many resources in Nigeria which are under utilized but your problem alone is education, even if the Nigerian government decides to make education free across the nations, with good and effective leadership, it will have a negative impact on the our GDP...

You talked about SA while making references with our weak currency, don't you think if naira was more stable with more value it won't amount to such exorbitant price payable in SA...?? Nigeria has a lot of work to do but I can assure you, it can only gets worse because we are solely in love with our oppressors...
